This is an excellent place to check out when looking for somehting to do on the weekend. I have gone apple picking twice and have enjoyed the quality of the U-Pick apples, and the relaxing feel of not being overcrowded. All the trees were incredibly bountiful both times I went. The farm store is equally enjoyable which a large selection of fun treats and ingredients to try. Their apple sauce was exceptional, and the cider was good. Their donuts are tasty as well. Just maybe expect a wait if you visit their kitchen in the back because it was very busy both times we were there.

We have a little cabin down the road and have somehow missed this gem for many many years. We are so happy to have come across it! The produce and goods were amazing but definitely go on an empty stomach because the deli is fabulous as well. They have such a great array from local artists and farms. The staff and family are so kind and helpful as well! This is definitely a stop for our whole family now when we are in town.

Way Fruit Farm is one of my favorite places to stop each time I come back to Central PA -- it's just off Rt 550, about 25 min from PSU. Why visit? - They have the freshest fruits and veggies you'll find anywhere (especially corn and apple season!) - Cutest country store with tons of freshly made goodies and a cafe...you can stop by for lunch! - I recommend stocking up on: their doughnuts, no bake cookies, and anything else fresh in the store!

A wonderful destination any time of year! In spring and summer, there are u-pick strawberries, plus fresh local produce and flower baskets. Summer peaches are my favorite- the best I have ever tasted! In fall and winter, you can find a fantastic selection of apple varieties and the best cider I've ever tasted. The market carries local eggs, cheese, pasta and frozen ready-made dinners, soups, entrees and their amazing pumpkin roll. You can also pick up all sorts of dry goods- flour, oats, dried fruit, coffee, jams and jellies and local sauces and spreads. They also carry canning supplies! In the cafe, you can get lunch made to order, and breakfast on weekends. My favorite is the Apple Salad- the homemade dressing is addictive. The bakery makes bread, rolls, cookies and pies... and apple cider doughnuts. There is nothing nicer than a "still warm from the oven" doughnut and a cup of hot, spiced cider on a crip fall morning. Mmmmm! Eating in is always pleasant if you have some time to spare; everything is made to order and it does take a little time to get your food. Eating in front of the fireplace is especially lovely in the cooler weather. The friendly staff is always ready to answer your questions, suggest recipes or help you find what you are looking for.

Best Woopie Pies I've ever had, and I've had a lot! Many specialty items along with some (expensive) staples if you need them.

Love this place! They have a large selection of products and the bakery is the best. Try the ricotta cookies. They are my absolute favorite!

The vendors for a smaller market, were abundant, fresh pasta, mead, veggies, produce, pizza, honey, goat products, and a few bakery items. Huge compliments out to the organizers, it was amazing to have someone welcome you, and thank you, as you left the market. All vendors were friendly, whose stands that I visited and helpful. The gentleman that sold the Goat products, I do hope in the future to buy; as he was kind enough to call to find out stores in Altoona that sold their product. Highly recommend, Crumbkowski, Christina who is the pastry chef and owner, had an amazing set up, allowing customers to sample little pieces, buy whole squares, in addition to cookies and muffins. The Amish stand that had homemade potato chips, were out of this world; I'm sorry I didn't buy more to freeze. Great atmosphere and hope to return next time in town. Sorry didn't take pictures of my purchases.

When in season the corn on the cob is plentiful and offered by a number of venders. Te same is true if the tomatoes, cellery and other vegetables. In addition the market offers baked goods and meats. In a very short time from opening the baked goods are in short supply. If you love fresh vegetables you will not be disappointed with this event.

The store associates sanitize the carts immediately when they are returned. There are also wipes located near the entrance and hand sanitizer. I liked that they control how many people enter the store. It allows for social distancing and makes you feel more comfortable shopping and looking at items before deciding whether to purchase or not. My friend had to speak with the manager about a previous purchase and the manager was very nice and accommodating.

Fast forward to me moving to Hershey for grad school from my delicate life surrounded by Trader Joe's, Sprouts, etc in the bosom of Orange County, CA and I was shocked, saddened, and defeated. This wonderful area that I now called home had two Trader Joe's "in my area", one being in Towson, MD and the other being in Philadelphia. Luckily, as I traveled back home to California during holidays, I'd be lucky enough to fly into and out of one of those airports so I'd make it a ritual to stop by TJs on my way home as long as I flew in before they closed. Still though, going to TJs once every few months isn't ideal. So imagine my delight when I'm driving to my clinical rotation site at State College, and what do I see - Trader mutha$#*in' JOE'S. I'm only up here for 5 weeks total, but I've gone here every single day so far. I've probably spent about $500 in the last four weeks. I love this place. It's exactly how Trader Joe's should be: bright, inviting, clean, and with an excellent selection of food and goods. Hell, even the staff is as jovial as the ones back home, which is proof that they have incredible system-wide hiring practices. If you're in the area, go to Trader Joe's. Just bask in the glory of the wonderful stuff that they have. Pro tip: if you're going to do one thing to elevate your charcuterie game, make it the herb-crusted Chèvre goat cheese and grab a jar or the hot and sweet pepper jelly. Crackers are your choice. But do yourself this favor. Cheers!
