I give this place 2 stars due to her being friendly my first visit. I just moved to Conyers in August. I was looking for a place to get my brows done and I went here because the reviews on yelp were fairly good. I got my brows waxed on Friday, October 13th. The wax was a little hot but that's wax. I normally get my brows threaded at Wink in Snellville. Throughout the day Friday my right eyelid kept hurting. I thought that's because I just got a wax and it will be better tomorrow. Saturday morning, the 14th, I woke up and looked in the mirror to a scab. I had a wedding to get ready for that started at 4pm. She burned my skin and probably did not pull the strip correctly. I had a hair appt at 9am so after that I went back to show her what she did to my eye. I showed her mom, who was at the front desk, and she called her daughter (the owner but I can't recall her name) to the front. She ultimately apologized but also made so many excuses. I told her I want you to see this and make sure it does not get worse or infected due to bacteria. She looked at me like that doesn't happen. She says it will only get infected if bacteria is introduced to it like bacteria could not have been present in her wax. She went on to try to explain that it will heal like a scratch and proceeded to explain to me how a scratch will heal. I had to stop her because I work in healthcare and you are not about to talk to me like I'm stupid. I told her this never happened before but I don't get waxed often I normally get threaded. She says you get threaded cause you have sensitive skin. I'm like what? No I don't have sensitive skin. How are you gonna tell me that the skin I have been living in for 34 years is all of a sudden sensitive. Then she says I had a reaction to the wax. No! This is no allergic reaction. You burnt me cause the wax was too hot. I got my brows waxed in the morning when she first opened so it was probably heating up and too hot. As an esthetician you should know about wax temperatures. We kept going back and forth but I just had to show her her work. The brows were a very nice shape so that's my reason for the second star in this review. She did not offer a refund, future discount or any type of compensation. I left annoyed because I did not have time for this poor customer service. I will not be back to this establishment. I ended up putting concealer on to hide it when I did my makeup for the wedding. Today is Tuesday, the 17th, the scab wiped off this morning as I washed my face. Between Saturday and Tuesday morning it was an ugly scab that got darker. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Leonie for about 10 years now. I started going to her for my eyebrows and for bikini/brazilian waxes. She's amazing and I let no one else touch these brows. I think brazilian waxes are horrible, but Leonie does them really quick and they don't hurt near as bad as other places. She's also an amazing esthetician! I went to her with the goal of getting my skin to a point where I would not have to wear makeup. At the time, I was experiencing horrible breakouts and hyperpigmentation. We went through a series of chemical peels and she worked with me to come up with the perfect products for my skin type. I get compliments on my skin all the time and it's all thanks to Leonie! The salon is relaxing and everyone that works there is friendly and like family. I highly recommend this business! read more

Not a great experience. I had a Brazilian and was left with a lot of stray hairs. The process was very painful; first I was almost scalded with the wax (it was super hot going on) and the removal process was pretty painful. Even though it is convenient to both my office and my home, I think I will look for somewhere else to go next time, most likely driving into Atlanta. The options are not great in the Conyers area for a Brazilian wax. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before going to this place. I've had a Brazilian wax before and although it stung, it wasn't unbearable. This shit was absolutely painful!!!!!! I was in such pain and squirming the entire time. She was really quick and very friendly but other than that, I would not recommend going here. When I got home, I noticed I was bleeding and still hairy as a damn beast. I could've done a better job shaving! Smh. So not worth the $45. When I called to complain, they offered to remove the stray hairs but I didn't want to go through that pain again so I never showed up. If you see this place, PLEASE KEEP DRIVING. read more

Facial services were bad. I'd told the aesthetician about my problematic skin prior to the appointment that I had a dry, sensitive skin type in a conversation weeks before. She insisted that my skin was oily. After explaining her many years of expertise and certifications, I figured she had a lot of knowledge about skin, so I took her word for it. During my facial experience, the aesthetician did not have any paperwork or questionnaires that I could fill out about my skin type or allergies. The aesthetician failed to inform me step by step of the process (I had to ask a few times what she was using/doing). My skin endured a bit of burning during the facial, which she told me would go away. After researching online about what shouldn't happen during a facial, I realized there shouldn't have been any burning. The aesthetician also forgot to ask me if I had eczema(which she then later blamed me for). She also recommended a oil-free cleanser I should use, which I purchased to support her business while trying something she recommended-given her expertise. My skin looked amazing right after my facial. The scabbing and flaking didn't appear until the next two days. My skin had little black scabs all over and began to flake up terribly. It was also extremely dry, which the aesthetician told me it was because of the cleanser (when I had already alerted her of my dry skin). All in all, after doing extensive research about facials, I'm now aware that scabs after a facial are a result of harsh work being done. Also, I attempted to get a refund for the cleanser, but the owner wouldn't allow refunds. I either had to swap the cleanser for a different one or get a store credit. read more

By far the worst brazilian I ever had. Not only were there a lot of strays left which she didn't offer to pluck, there was also wax left on me upon completion. I've been getting this done for years and know what to expect, but the removal process was slow and painful. I guess when there is not much other competition out here, you just take what you can get. It is always nice to have an African American owned business in the area to support right?! Well this one is just okay. The sign on the door says that they open at 9:00 I have been multiple times and they are NEVER open. When asked about it, she says that this is why she has appointments and it costs too much to change the sign...really??? who does that. The waxing services are pretty good but I like professional services. The wax is a little on the hot side and I always seems to get ingrown hairs and hairs left behind. While I was getting waxed she was saying how she wasn't studying her clients that complain about her time and even had an argument with her front desk person because they double booked her. That could have obviously waited until another time. If you are looking to get serviced by your girl this is the spot, if you are looking to be treated like a client/customer go somewhere, where people respect your time, won't have an argument in front of your or talk about their clients.
