The other drivers sitting in their cars realized by my reaction that we were on own. This station was closed for Thanksgiving, which is fine. The issue here was that there was only a sign on the station's door. And given that most drivers don't leave their car in Jersey when at a gas station, they should have put a sign on the pumps. That way, those other drivers wouldn't have wasted there time waiting for an attendant that wasn't here.
