I've been coming here for years! Julie Fisher WHNP-BC and Dr. Mody are very warm and caring, just…read moreawesome! Even my nurse that checks me in has always been warm caring personable. It's the other staff that's concerning. The others were disconnected (a nurse named Tiffany that barely said anything to me but "come on back" and a check out associate at the first window that barely even looked up to acknowledge me as she was checking me out). However, there's another check out associate that works the second window that's very pleasant. A time once I called to speak with and leave a message for a nurse to call me back and the answering receptionist associate was rude in her tone and condescending when I said this was a personal matter I can't talk openly about it now but please have a nurse call me, she responded "well, will you be able to talk openly when the nurse calls?" I'm thinking duh! Of course! My advice is.... Be smiling and warm to your patients and thank them for coming. Ask how you can help them. Your staff should be smiling on the phone, you really can hear the difference. I would expect that most of you understand the principles of hospitality in general. The keys are how to implement it. If you or your office manager isn't a particularly hospitable person, and not everyone comes by it naturally, then try appointing a staff member to be your "hospitality ambassador." You're providing a service, remember that. I only return because I love my care from Julie and now Dr. Mody. I've also shared my concerns with a staff member prior to this post.

First let me start with the mammogram. The woman who had been doing the mammograms for years was no longer there. SHe was so gentle and it hardly hurt at all. Well yesterday, it hurt like hell. And I have a high pain tolerance. After I completed the mammogram, I waited to be called back for the doctor. The nurse who called me back was not very friendly. after she took my blood pressure, weight, etc, she took me to another waiting room. And I waited for at least 30 minutes. After I was finally taken into the exam rooms, I waited in the there for close to an our for Dr. Folgeman. I understand that they are short staffed and she apologized. BUT I wish I had been updated prior to the appointment that the wait would be longer than normal. PLUS I was charged an additional office visit because I had questions about by menopause symptoms/issues. Again, Dr. Fogleman was nice enough and did her best in the short amount of time she was actually able to spend with me but it just seems as if something deeper is going on with this practice.

During my recent visit with Dr. Fogleman, I was deeply disappointed--not only by the lack of compassionate care, but by the unprofessional behavior I witnessed. While waiting in the exam room, I overheard Dr. Fogleman speaking about me in the hallway in a clearly negative and judgmental tone. She seemed to forget or not care that I was within earshot. It was humiliating, disheartening, and completely inappropriate. When she finally entered the room, her demeanor was cold and dismissive. There was no empathy, no effort to make me feel at ease, and certainly no apology or acknowledgment of what I had overheard. I left the appointment feeling judged, unheard, and more anxious than when I arrived--everything an OBGYN visit should not be. I expected professionalism and compassionate care, and unfortunately, I received neither. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this provider to anyone seeking respectful or empathetic treatment.

However, when I tried to call to schedule an annual exam the following year, the front desk was so rude to me that I decided to schedule my appointment with a different office. This year, the provider at the other office has left, leaving me without a GYN, and when I called Green Valley to try to get back in with Dr. Callahan, I was rudely informed that since I was a patient and then "left," I was no longer allowed to be seen by any of the doctors at this practice. I did not "leave" with an outstanding balance, I didn't no-show any appointments, I did nothing wrong, but I am banned from the practice because I sought care from a different provider one year? This is the first time in my entire life that I have ever heard this as a policy at a medical facility. This is like telling someone that she's not allowed to seek a second opinion or she will lose access to her primary doctor. My experience with the front desk has been so upsetting and disappointing, which is such a shame because Dr. Callahan truly is a great doctor.

I needed to have my annual and when I called I was able to get an appointment really quickly. I was concerned this would be a problem as a lot of people were changing insurance this year. My initial interaction was with Tammy when I called to schedule and let me say she had the friendliest voice, sometimes you dread calling a doctors office and this time I did not. My second interaction was the front desk staff, genuinely very nice women who looked like they enjoyed their jobs. The lobby area was comfortable and warm(in 30 degree weather i appreciated that) next I met with Andrea my medical assistant i believe was her role and chefs kiss she was fantastic great personality, patient skills on point and just a friendly individual to talk to. Lastly was my new obgyn Dr. Simone Autry-Lott. First off it was really nice to have a woman of color be my doctor as I haven't had this often, most of my doctors have been white males which isn't a problem, but it's nice to have someone who understands you and your culture and your body. A male can understand it from a medical perspective but not from an experience perspective. She was fantastic, professional but also felt like i was talking to a friend. Very happy here
