I have been receiving services from the team at this center since October 2020 when I had rotator cuff and bicep surgery. All along the way, the entire staff have been encouraging and professional, and I have grown to trust them. Honestly, despite it being a little painful, I enjoy my forty-five minute appointments, and I notice that their other clients seem to feel the same. The Rehab Center is located in the same building with Novant Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and share the same beautiful, clean, and comfy lobby, reminiscent of a log cabin. Once you enter the door, Kenisha, the receptionist, is just off to the right. She has a welcoming personality that is infectious. She will take your temperature and make sure you are prepared for your appointment. The staff all wear PPE and follow COVID-19 guidelines, and clients are expected to do the same. Kenisha seems to know all the clients, and I enjoy seeing them come in and give her updates. My physical therapists are Brittany and Erin. They are phenomenal! These two work wonders on me and are helping me get motion back into my right arm, slowly but surely. It's important to have a decent personality with any job dealing with the public, and these ladies have personality and professional knowledge by the bucket loads! If you are in need of rehabilitation, I highly recommend the folks at Novant Health Rehabilitation Center. They will get everything moving right again in no time. When you go by, tell them Kindra sent ya!

I am gratefully surprised at the level of care I received and recommend this facility to anyone needing emotional support. I checked myself in with nothing but defeated desperation and the clothes I was wearing. I was met with love and provided all necessities for my five days of inpatient care. During my inpatient stay, there was a lot of needed introspective down time. We had group therapy each afternoon and generous servings of three nutritious meals with snacks and drinks available anytime. Puzzles, cards, lots of coloring and movie time allowed space for connecting with each other or simply ourselves. The attending psychiatrist was great in providing helpful and necessary medication and the employees in the unit met me with compassion at each encounter. After inpatient discharge, I moved on to the outpatient program where I attended group therapy M-F from 9:30-3ish for three weeks. I am deeply enriched from my time in outpatient care and will carry these learned coping skills with me for a lifetime. Ms. Shenae and Ms. Pam are a Godsend. They are gifted in connection and illustration of crucial skills in relation to each of our unique needs. We practiced mindfulness and meditation in a way that everyone can learn and eventually master in their own unique way. My toolbox of coping skills is locked, loaded, and prepared for all of life's ups, downs, twists and turns. I am a better person because of my time at Old Vineyard and deeply thank my doctors, therapists and peers for this experience.

Yes, there were a couple techs who I felt genuinely cared about us but didn't have the type of resources to care for you, but others did not. Multiple times if you acted out they would threaten you with a shot. Multiple times they did not prevent fights but stopped them (or tried to) after they happened. I remember one person who would come in and do group and she was genuinely the only person who had authority that helped and knew how to handle things. One kid was crying because she had to get a shot and the nurses mocked her, she was only 14. The doctor I saw was also very horrible and did not help, the therapist was nice but the doctor sounded like Mr. Big from zootopia and I could not understand her 99% of the time due to my auditory issues that come with adhd. Do not walk, RUN from this place. I'm sure there are other locations much better from this.

She is located in the Sticht center which is a free standing building that faces the road and has Parking Deck A directly behind it. It is part of Wale Forest Atrium Health Baptist Hospital. From the outside the building is very unassuming, plain brown brick building with ordinary windows. But as soon as you walk in you are in a grand lobby whose Sitting area has a some beautiful artwork and a grand piano. There is a small eating area with vending machines towards the rear. This center is primarily for aging and rehabilitation and even has a pool to work with patients. It is a very welcoming environment and everyone who works there is very friendly. After checking in with security I went up to the second floor and checked In for my appointment. Caroline Snock R.D. was very friendly and Informative. She explained everything to me in detail and gave me suggestions on proper healthy, eating for both my diabetes and my kidney disease. She answered all my questions and I walked out of that office feeling so much more energized in this battle with people like her being part of my Transplant team process I know I can beat this and live a longer life. I highly recommend Atrium Health Baptist Medical for all your health needs especially if you have kidney disease and even if you need advice on Nutrition and the proper way to eat, this is the place to come.
