This is the queen size need that was in the room .. when we booked a king size bed

ZERO STARS -- DO NOT STAY HERE (If zero stars were possible, that's what this hotel deserves.) My husband and I booked the Wave Hotel while traveling from Las Vegas to California for my godmother's funeral. This was already an emotional and difficult time, and unfortunately, our experience at this hotel added unnecessary stress. We paid for and confirmed a KING-size bed, which was important since both of us are over six feet tall. Upon entering the room, it was immediately obvious the bed was not a king--more like a full or queen. On top of that, the mattress was so hard it was like sleeping on the ground making it extremely uncomfortable. I took photos and went straight to the front desk. The front desk staff stated they were unaware of the issue and said they needed to speak with the owner (her father). When he arrived, he never spoke to us directly. The next day, we left early for the funeral. When we returned later, another employee claimed they had attempted to move us to another room while we were gone, which was not true. We were then told there were no other rooms available because the hotel was fully booked--so again, no resolution was offered. Additional issues: Dirty towels Uncomfortable, damaged mattress We did not use the hotel's towels or pillows because we always bring our own towels and pillowcases At checkout, we raised our concerns again. Management offered only $20 back for parking, and told us that if we wanted to dispute anything further, we would need to contact Expedia. Also we checked out at super early (6am) due to the uncomfortable 2 day stay About a week later, we discovered an unauthorized charge on our card. The hotel claimed we damaged their towels, which is completely false. We never used them and there were no washcloths in the room at all. We had to dispute the charge with our bank, and we are currently waiting for the refund. This hotel is poorly managed, unprofessional, and dishonest. Being treated this way while in town for a funeral was incredibly disappointing. Do yourself a favor spend the extra 40$ and stay elsewhere.

2 out of 5 stars - 1 for being close to the beach and 1 for a seamless checkin. The room was tidy as expected and the front desk agent was very kind and helpful. The biggest problem I had was that the mattress was awful. It's hard as a rock. Honestly it felt like there were just sheets placed on top of the springs, and as someone who enjoys a soft memory-foam mattress - this immediately made me feel like I overpaid for the room. Luckily I was only staying here for a night but if I can suggest something for the manager - please get new mattresses. Or the very least some soft mattress toppers. Because the current ones are a joke. Also - their TVs only have basic cable. Streaming, casting, and mirroring are not available.

Woke up at 6 am to our whole room flooded with toilet water and a nasty sewer smell went to complain to the front desk and they refused to give me a refund instead told hotels.com that I was just a splash of water so me and my girlfriend had to get ready for our day in the parking lot across the street 0/10 wouldn't no recommend!

Dangerous, absolutely avoid coming to this hotel, these are sick people with many people who go to create problems, I paid $110 dollars for a room, he gave me the room but when I Opened the door was dirty from the previous customer.

Nice spacious room

I actually live a 2 miles away I needed a place to stay to get away from my neighbors shooting off huge fireworks on 4th of July . I was so excited to be able to do my laundry as the laundry room was right next to my room . I had a great sleep it was so quiet and there were no parties ...I was very happy as I just needed the basics Free parking But not pet friendly ...I wanted to bring my cat but not allowed

This stay the hotel was decked out in holiday decorations that helped make my stay-cation like home! They have a welcoming front desk that had a lovely woman who greeted me for my stay. My room was on the second floor near Second Story the hotel's restaurant, which has great food by the way! Antonio my waiter today told me to be sure to come try breakfast tomorrow, that they've got a new delicious breakfast menu! Also, they have a full bar at the restaurant. I love that the hotel is a small boutique hotel that is a Hilton Tapestry property so you can use your Hilton Honors to book your reservation and earn HH points! The hotel conveniently located on PCH (Sepulveda) and Rosecrans which is just a quick 5 minute to the beach, great shopping and restaurants across the street at Manhattan Village and at The Point! There is a Top Golf just a few minutes away and LAX and 405 Freeway close! And you can even hop on a METRO bus just outside the hotel for a quick ride to Hermosa Beach or to Redondo Beach and Pier! The rooms are spacious. I prefer the garden view rooms and queen beds but this stay I had a residential side view and two beds. The room was quiet and very clean, and I love the crisp corners of the bedsheets tucked neatly. They have amazingly comfy beds and all of the team of employees were friendly (between the house keeping staff, front desk, Antonio at the restaurant and even Sergio (goodness I think that was his name) at the valet! I love when the hotel makes you feel at home and greet you each time you're coming or going. Definitely makes you feel special. Since it's December I didn't get to the pool this times but maybe next time! I'll be back for sure!

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and professional, and the lobby looked recently updated, which I appreciated. The gym, pool, and outdoor eating areas were a vibe, and the grounds were beautiful and very family-friendly. Parking was plentiful, and the property felt safe, quiet, and somewhat tucked away. The food service staff stood out as well--very personable and well-organized. One team member even walked around to tables checking in with guests, which was a nice touch. The beach is about a 27-minute walk each way. I walked there and back and didn't find it bad at all. Checkout was easy, my late checkout request was honored, and the staff went out of their way to give me a list of tourist attractions in San Diego since I was heading there after checkout. Accessibility & Cons: The parking spaces were tight, especially near Building #3. The pathway between the parking lot and the sidewalk was uneven and steep, which isn't ideal for guests with mobility challenges. We booked a one-bedroom loft, and while the room itself was really nice and unique, all of the lofts are on the second floor and there are no elevators. Traveling with my mom, who has mobility limitations, made this a challenge. Also, the room had a noticeable odor--hard to describe, but similar to a basement smell--which I wasn't a fan of. Overall, this was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it and stay here again. I'd also recommend checking out the loft rooms--they're very cool--just be mindful of the accessibility limitations.

Shuttle runs 24 hours and is frequent look for Loft & Fairfield Inn denoted shuttles, and call the hotel so they know you will be waiting, should see a shuttle within 30 minutes. My room was in the Tower several stories up, this required a short walk to an elevator that was not initially easily found, and I'd suggest more intuitive signage, but it was found, and the tower design minimizes hall traffic outside of rooms. I was solo, and had no issue with the small bathroom counter, but I was also prepared for a cruise ship so I had a hanging shaving Kit so counter space needs were minimized. The room was standard, but I also packed a white noise generator so external noise would not be an issue. Bedding was sufficient, but I'd request on checkin for an additional blanket for both warmth and weight. The breakfast dinning room was large, and the morning offerings included Yogurts, Breads with a Toaster, Cereals and Milk, Coffee and Dispenser Juices, Cooked Liquid Eggs, and Breakfast Meats. The buffet was well maintained by staff, and though crowded as it opened, was less packed as the service progressed. There is also a microwave in this space. In a protected courtyard there is a pool, fire pit, and a 24 hour basic gym with ample towels. There is also a weekday early evening paid happy hour bar service. Across the intersection is Ralph's supermarket, where I picked up some sparkling waters, and snacks. there are also numerous dining options, IN N OUT, Polo Loco, Jersey Mikes, Subway, plus Deli, Chinese, Hawaiian, etc. stopped at IN N OUT, during my early evening visit the walk up counter had no waiting though there were a lot of cars in line to order and pickup. Parking was $40+ across the street, and not the cheapest local option if you will be using a car. But I wanted a shuttle pickup at LAX, some walkable shopping and food options, onsite breakfast, a clean and low stress evening making this a good choice for my April 2026 booking. FYI room pricing fluctuates.

Great and friendly staff. Appreciated their kindness The takeaway is that the wifi was down And never came up. Also very small bathroom with weird sink location and poor counter space. Overall, perfect for one night.
