WAIT. Hold up. How had I NEVER reviewed this amazing place?! *headdesk*…read more Let's back up to 2015....when I used their services for our wedding set at a barn in Poynette. I rented two windows for our buffet menu and seating chart. I could've rented more things, but I really had to do my best to hold back because they have a TON in their inventory that I could've used. Alas, the budget did not allow such a splurge. Don't get me wrong - they're not absurdly expensive. Personally, I would've spent too much because I don't know when to stop sometimes.... I opted out of the custom writing as I wanted to do it myself with my BFF/MOH as a fun project. Even though we didn't request their custom writing services, they did provide suggestions on what to use, which was super helpful! Staff was just overall very friendly and pleasant to work with. Pick up was super easy - it took maybe 5-10 minutes from driving up to getting it loaded. Drop off was even easier. I'm not sure when we'd use them again, but I do recommend them to friends who are seeking a vintage look for their special events.

Then we found A La Crate and their amazing wood tables and everything fell into place. Tablecloth linen rentals are astronomical in price. For almost the same cost we could rent amazing wood tables from A La Crate (we took 18 of them) and didn't have to worry about packing up a bunch of tablecloths after the reception to ship back to the rental company. A La Crate made the drop-off and pick-up insanely easy. I highly recommend you visit their shop because, while their web site features useful photography, there's nothing like seeing everything with your own eyes. They have so much great stuff. We found additional things we didn't know we needed (great assortment of dessert serving trays and tiers) and fancy bride and groom chairs that set our spot out a bit from our guests. And it was all reasonably priced of course. I can't recommend them highly enough. I'm so grateful we found them, I honestly don't know what we would have done had we not.

About a month ago my teen daughter, her dad and I attended a wonderful wedding in Milwaukee. It was…read morecreative and the food was fabulous and the entire thing seemed to perfectly reflect the aesthetic of the very joyful bride and groom! But I'm review the owners of this company for going a very SPECIAL EXTRA MILE and helping in an area they certainly did not have to. Towards the end of the event, when clearly the Done By Storm planners had been working their butts off (!) to make everything perfect, my daughter (who is a serious photographer) got knocked by a happy dancing person, dropped her camera and discovered the lens cover was broken and STUCK onto the camera lens. This is a nightmare situation for any photographer who values their camera and their work.... We ran off to the side of the venue and tried everything possible to separate the broken lens cover from the camera, while trying not to get tiny shards of glass in our hands. Several people tried to help but to no avail. Finally my daughter approached the two Done by Storm owners who were talking, and asked if they might have a tool to help. The gentleman RAN to get his toolbox, returned and began working on the problem. It was quite challenging, as he didn't want to cause any more damage on a delicate instrument, plus it was still a loud party all around. He kept at it for awhile, even though we told him we didn't want to take his time away from his other duties. But he kept trying and trying. And he got it off!!!! My daughter was so grateful she asked if she might give him a hug, and did. We were all so grateful and had no way to really to thank him for his kindness, his empathy and his incredible professionalism. The night would have been ruined for us had he not been so ready to assist. All I can say is that if this pair of lovely people were that attentive to the happiness of one of many guests, I can only imagine the attention they offer to their clients! I'm already married (or I'd hire them!). We are from out of state and will always remember the extra effort these people put in that evening. Thanks to Done By Storm from the Kahn family.

They were able to assist our very young flower girl/ attendants when they ALMOST had a melt down right before they walked down the aisle, used their emergency kit to help with a handful of last minute needs, kept the schedule on track, and worked as an amazing contact for all of our other vendors so I had very few questions that I needed to answer allowing me to enjoy the day we worked so hard on! Mandy went above and beyond leading up to the wedding to assist with the final timeline and details. She was hired as a day of coordinator but she truly cares about her clients. With COVID, I had cold feet about the event itself and nearly postponed about 2 months before the wedding. She saw a post I made in a wedding group on Facebook looking for advice and she reached out directly to be a sounding board to help me sort through the craziness.

Are you excited to fret over what flowers are going to be in which vases at the reception? Would…read moreyou rather dedicate all your waking free time to chasing down rental and florist contacts, or would you rather sleep? Fretting and chasing are not things I enjoy. So I had an EXPERT do them for me. Except for Sarah Sarbacker, those things are not fretting and chasing - they are thoughtfully planning and cheerfully contacting. Thinking about the BIG DAY, I did NOT want to be the one in charge. I wanted to enjoy and relax with my family and friends. And I forsaw the difficulty with a family member being in charge of all the details. That person wouldn't get to enjoy the day! Unless they were a regular bossy-pants, in which case I would not enjoy taking direction from them in the first place. Let me also tell you this: 15 minutes before our outdoor ceremony, clouds were gathering and the wind started to blow. Sarah happily and confidently crawled into the back of our car (where my MOH and I were staying warm) and asked to start the event a few minutes early because the clouds were threatening-looking. Oh a more pleasant woman I couldn't have heard this from! She even took a few minutes to tell a funny personal story and get my mind off THE WALK DOWN THE AISLE. She was a sea of calm. She projected absolute certainty and helpfulness. She does not dominate - she takes direction from what you suggest. She is a wedding FACILITATOR. I believe she is truly gifted in dealing with all different sorts of people, and yet she has a perfectionistic tendency (to get the chairs just right, to get the table centerpieces just right, etc...). She is polite, cheerful, and nothing seems to throw her for a loop. It was a perfect day. And Sarah Sarbacker was a huge part of making it so.

I decided I wanted to get married on our family farm, a daunting task that she truly brought to life. She thought of every little detail (needed a generator, bathroom trailer, lights, mosquito treatment, valet, etc) and was extremely organized and thorough. She laid out a very easy to follow timeline, checked in each month with the tasks to focus on every month, gave suggestions of professional experienced vendors, but was also willing to go way outside anything she had done before and find new options. For example we wanted really adventurous food with a mix of thai/peruvian/mediterranean/vietnamese/indian and somehow she found the perfect caterer who could make it happen. Andrea is simply the best and you will be lucky to have her, I thank my lucky stars she was available on the date we wanted. She is worth way more than she charges. I cannot recommend her more highly.
