My boyfriend lived on the first floor of Jenks Hall and had a severe roach infestation (roaches crawling on the walls, floors, and even inside the microwave). When he contacted the school for help, they sent Orkin, then charged the cost to his tuition instead of taking responsibility for the situation. The campus itself is very small, with the majority of the campus being residence halls, yet around 80% of students are commuters. Despite this, parking is a nightmare. There is nowhere near enough student parking, and I was often forced to park on residential streets nearly a mile away just to get to class. The financial aid office was also very frustrating. I had a scheduled appointment, and the staff member I met with openly admitted she did not know the answers to basic financial questions I asked, stating this was not her "field of expertise." I left with no clarity or help regarding my tuition or aid. Food services were not diverse at all, awful, and repetitive, essentially the same meals every single week (salmon, pork loin, etc.). Bathrooms were rarely clean, there were almost no outlets available anywhere on campus, and the overall environment felt neglected. Despite claiming to be a smoke-free campus, residence halls constantly smelled like weed, so staff clearly did not enforce their own policies. Many staff members were rude and dismissive. Students ran any and all events, which were poorly organized and very unprofessional. Socially, the school felt extremely dead and unwelcoming. I did not make a single meaningful connection during my time there, and the overall atmosphere was sad. Aurora University failed in housing, administration, campus life, and basic student support. This was genuinely the worst educational experience I have ever had. 0/10 -- I do not recommend this school.

Attending class is an enjoyable experience, the teachers/professors actually care and show concern and actually actually want you to learn their material. The classes are moderately sized and you are not looked as just a number or another student. St. Augustine helped me accomplish a goal that I was working towards off and on since the early 2000 and now I can actually say, I did it !!!

Some of the buildings are modern with great architecture. My favorite is the Kaplan building. As soon as you walk in, there is a robot near the front desk. In Kaplan, I feel like I'm in a college geared for the 21st century and beyond. This is STEM based campus for people with majors such as physics, mechanical engineering, computer science, chemical engineering, bioinformatics etc. Because of its great architectural design, films and movies have been filmed here. The popular show Empire has used the college for filming. The food in the Commons cafeteria is delicious, especially the stir fried rice. It had just the right amount of teriyaki sauce and veggies. The server prepares the fried rice, with vegetables, rice and chicken in front of the customers. The line for the stir fried rice was the longest line. The chocolate chip boondies were superb. I went over my calorie limit today!
