Yes, vet. care is very expensive and there are nolonger senior rates or multiple animal rates but that is corporate medicine . Lorie has been looking after our two cats since we got them and has been kind and gentle and professional in all of our dealings with him. His staff are excellent and, while it sometimes means a wait for scheduled appointments, the clinic will almost always squeeze you in that day if you're having an emergency. When we adopted a cat "Ernie" for my mother, we took him in for a quick check-up to make sure everything was okay and to check on some sores on his feet. Ernie doesn't like having his nails done, and as a new cat in a strange place this was particularly distressing. Despite Ernie's protests, Dr. Gold dragged out the mitts and gave them to me to hold the little guy while he tried to examine the foot. He got tagged at least once, but didn't complain and saw us out with his normal good cheer. I would hate for someone to read that other review and decide not to go. The rates are very reasonable, the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help the regulars. We have always been very satisfied at River oaks.

When walking in, we're greeted by welcoming faces and Salsa is treated to all the attention he could ever want. We don't wait long to see our vet and Dr. Jessika Bronsoiler and she is truly compassionate, empathetic, experienced and provides answers to my endless questions in terms I understand. She's given us endless tips at our visits, checks in via phone with us after his recent neutering or when starting new medications (this is everything because many vets want another appointment to charge another visit) and also gently corrects inaccurate information I've picked up from my previous vet clinic without judgement. I can't recommend them enough.

Dr. Virdi is hands down the best veterinarian in the city of Hamilton. When we moved here, we went…read morethrough six vets before we found a vet that we felt comfortable in trusting our beloved furkid's lives with. Barton Grays was lucky number 7! Dr. Virdi is amazing with our cats. He has a very special way of treating them with such care & kindness that helps negate a lot of their fear & nervousness which usually comes with a visit to the vet. This clinic is also really great with getting to the point of the matter, without the usual upselling and fear mongering that most clinics tend to specialize in. Unlike most clinics, x-rays seem to happen here only when absolutely necessary instead of being the norm, which can be a real ding to the wallet. I also appreciate their knowledge on safe & healing holistic treatments that coincide with traditional medical treatments. Melanie, the assistant, is also a delight and not only knows her stuff, but she is also very helpful with answering questions and thinking outside of the box. We've been going to Barton Grays for about seven years now, and I can only hope that they'll will be open for many more years to come, as it would be really hard to find another vet who is as special as Dr. Virdi.
