I always stop here on my way to Raton. The place is always spotless and service superb. I highly recommend this little oasis off the highway!

Slight detour off I-25 north of Las Vegas NM. Clean and beautifully decorated coffee house in older northern NM house. Large patio with flowers and fruit trees. One size various coffee drinks, teas and pastries. Plan to stop whenever on this route. True gem in the area.

Outside in April.

Sweet little stop, fast easy access off I25. Coffee is good not bitter, a tad sweeter than my husband's preference, as is my chai. We also had the green chili burritos, good flavor very cheesy, tortillas split easily. Excellent prices. $25 for two drinks two burritos and two pastries. We will come again when we come back through.

Enjoying our espresso drinks!

Very cute little coffee house just off I-25. Nice decor and tasty cappuccinos. Didn't try a pastry, but they looked great.

The service was spot on, the portion was more than adequate, and the environment was a warm and comfy local experience. I enjoyed everything about it.

Went to counter lady said they didn't have any tables for 2. I said we can take the table for 6 & we can share if others came in. She reluctantly agreed, but it seemed to bother her. We reviewed the menu on our phones to save waitress time & trip over. I saw the group of 20+ sitting at a table. We knew what we wanted so I went back up to counter asking her if I could just give her our order, because we knew what we wanted. The lady said ok, but you need to go back to your table, I will be right there to get your order. Then she by passed us went to table of 20+ asking them if they if they were ready to order. They said no then she passed us by AGAIN. Not even stopping to get our drink order. Walked around ignoring us went back to table to take order from the 20+ table. We got the point that we were not welcome, got up & left. A Rude staff member can destroy an experience. Go to the Main Street Grill down the street the customer service is 1000% better. There also is a place to park a RV across the street at the country market.

They were so ridiculously good that I ordered another round... and then somehow another. Before I knew it, I'd inhaled nine sliders like I was training for the Olympic Competitive Munchies Team. Mission accomplished--the munchies were officially defeated. I paid my tab, waddled out the door, and went to smoke another dooby. Now I'm sitting here wondering... after this next dooby, am I about to march right back in there and order another round of sliders? The odds are looking pretty good. Happy trails, buckaroos! PS: I honestly couldn't tell you what they taste like under normal circumstances. But if you're higher than gas prices, those sliders are five-star fine dining.

We walked into the Skillet around 5:45pm, were assaulted by loud music (which we expected from…read moreanother review), and sat at the bar in the quieter room of the restaurant. We ordered a burrito, fries and drinks - a Manhattan for my wife and a chocolate martini with Kettle One and crème de cacao for me. My wife's drink was to her liking, but the chocolate martini tasted like there was coffee liqueur in it. Since I didn't know when our waitress would appear again, I told the first person we saw - a young man - that I couldn't drink anything with coffee because of the caffeine, and that I needed it remade. He took it back to redo. While we were waiting, one of the pool players dropped a very loud f-bomb when he missed a shot. Then a young child began crying very loudly. The young man came back with the remade drink, and the coffee taste was gone. After it had been over 45 minutes I had to ask what looked like the manager what had happened to our burrito and fries. She went back to check, and our food finally appeared. The burritos were long on rice and short on carne asada, something we couldn't know until we started eating. At some point our original waitress came back, and my wife told her we had to send back my first drink because of the coffee ingredient. She denied any coffee-containing spirit was used, and walked away. We never saw her again. I had to ask the manager for an itemized ticket, since the ones we had were sign for a total amount only, with no itemized detail. Since the original waitress had closed out our ticket right after we ordered and had given us our check, we paid and left. No tip was left. If you want a properly-mixed drink, be prepared to explicitly request every ingredient. Better still, don't expect great drinks or food at this place - stay away. There are lots of other choices in Las Vegas NM.
