We scheduled a new roof in August to get our house ready to move and when the roof was being put on they didn't tarp it correctly and and we received a heavy down pour in our house . almost 12,000 in damages in three seprate rooms. We received two reports from a mold company and an adjustment company . John the owner took responsibility and said he'd fix what was damaged and long story short he didn't. They did a hack job and it should of been a red flag when it didn't pass inspection by the city the first time but we believed John and his contractor mike were good people and trusted they would keep there word. I am definitely not the one to write reviews it honestly makes me sick doing it. but we reached out and tried to work with them for months . So I want to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. My husband had to leave for his job in Michigan my son and I are here trying to pick up the pieces . They did a horrible patch job and never came back to finish Like promise. The point is this company is horrible and they don't value communication, responsibility and respect the customer and their houses ! Beware

They were strongly recommended to me by a local pool builder who gets to see first-hand the work quality of screen enclosure companies, and he couldn't speak more highly of Southern Aluminum. After talking with a couple other companies, I talked with Steve Weiss, co-owner of Southern Aluminum, which annually installs about 250 screen enclosures around Tampa Bay. Steve was great to talk with, obviously has much expertise, and gave us a fair and competitive quote. Going with Steve was a no-brainer. We were in the process of building a new home, so from when I first talked with Steve to when we were finally ready to build our screen enclosure was a fairly long time. Steve and I kept in good touch by phone, text and email, so communications was very good, along with the plan he put together. When we were ready to build our large screen enclosure, Steve sent a two-man crew, Big John and Steve, with nearly 60 years of experience. It was remarkable to see how well the two professionals worked together, which included custom building the enclosure on site. They arrived early, worked hard and returned at same time every day for a week, and I could tell they take much pride in the quality of their work. They are true professionals and reflect the overall experience you get when you go with Southern Aluminum. The end result is a beautiful, well-built and solid screen enclosure that will allow us to enjoy our backyard for many years while keeping us mosquito-free. We couldn't be happier with Southern Aluminum Installations for doing great work at a competitive price. If you're looking for a local company to build a screen enclosure, I highly recommend Southern Aluminum.

The front office is the worst I have ever encountered. It took 5 weeks to get a response to my request for a roof and ventilation plan. At that point the office called to talk through the details without ever sending me the plan. After ten minutes of struggling with the office I requested a meeting and waited two more weeks for the Roof/ventilation plan. The owner was nice enough to come meet with me to revise the plan to our agreement. The day of work start the office shows up with the original hand drawn roof plan with the ventilation in the wrong locations. Work went smoothly over 3 days and many lunch bones tossed in the yard. When the invoice arrived I had questions and requested a review of the invoice and an explanation of the charges. I immediately paid over 90% of the invoice and held back the payment for questionable items pending review and explanation. Eventually they requested the final payment with no explanation. I again told them I am waiting on a meeting to explain the invoice and they dumped 5 emails containing 100+ photos, nothing else. When they call again to ask why I had not paid, I asked why they haven't called to make an appointment to explain the invoice. The owner and I have been trading VM's with no mention of a meeting, only me paying...still waiting.
