Once you visit here, you will discover his inventions and research were much more extensive! He had groundbreaking work in optical telecommunications, hydrofoils, and aeronautics. He was the 2nd president of the National Geographic Society. He had a deep interest in the new science of heredity and helped shape its direction. He was also significant in providing education and research for the hearing impaired and speech impaired. This site and museum has many artifacts showing some of his works. I would have liked to have spent more time, maybe 6 hours in all. But a tip, don't forget to look at the beauty outside of this museum as the views are gorgeous and inspiring!

I am so glad they didn't shirk her story in the museum but showed her right along side her husband. I had no idea he was into flight. And that was so cool to learn! All in all, I really enjoyed this. also - there is plenty of parking. And i was able to secure a shady spot for my dogs. And - you can take the museum at your own pace. I went faster than I would have liked, because my dogs were in the car and I always worry about them. But it was a cool day. They were in the shade and just fine.

Twos separate area of the barn are dedicated as galleries. I loved the way the art work was displayed throughout. Nice placement of furniture, pottery, etc. Almost everything is hand-made. Many of the paintings are painted by Carol herself. I fell in love with one, "Fire in the Pants", that I needed to purchase. I am going to bring it back to the States with me to display in my office. Carol's work is abstract painting. It was fun to look at her paintings and talk about what we saw. They are wonderful!

The setting is very special with a lovely garden surrounding it and Carole Rivoire the owner is very knowledgeable of the items on display. The prices are reasonable and you will find unique items here that you won't find anywhere else. The items are beautifully displayed and it is fun to wander through the different areas to see hand made quilts, paintings, antique dishes, hooked rugs and fun folk art.

If it had happened to one of the anklets, I would have assumed human error--but it was both. I emailed the store through their web site twice but have not heard a response.
