So excited to get my final hybrids soon and would highly recommend Dr Thomas weir and his staff they definitely go the extra mile when you have any issues or discomfort through the entire 4 month process I've had at least 6 extra visits with concerns and they listened to my concerns and issues and made simple adjustments to make sure I was happy!! And I gotta say I'm definitely not easy to work with but they always treat me like somebody special as we'll as All there other patients coming in and out all day ! It's been a nightmare finding the right dentist in Charleston but I have never had one beg me to stay as a client and then turn around and 5 days later have the police call me about a no trespass? HUH? So I came in for a routine cleaning after 3 months and saw the same hygienist as the last time. She was nice the first time and of course like I said that was 3 months ago before the election. Dentist did crown work before and I informed hygenist that I would be going to Mexico because Dr. Ammons was not able to do what I needed. So idk if they are mad about that too or what. It's mind blowing that I asked to leave as a patient and then they retaliate in this manner. So the officer manager decided to ask me about the election when I came in and she seemed as happy as me about it. Well the dental hygienist all of the sudden became extremely rude and mean during the visit and the only thing that made any sense was that she heard us talking about the election. After the cleaning I was very adamant to the office manger, Kelsey, that she needed to have a chat with that woman because this was ridiculous. I left and then called back to say "I don't want to be a patient anymore, as I just cannot believe your staff treated me this way." Kelsey assured me it was "just that day" as if the hygienist was having a bad day, and really was begging me to stay as client. I made some hypothetical just like Trump said about Liz Cheney and 5 days later the police are giving me a no trespass! LMAOO! at no time did Kelsey seemed alarmed as she kept trying to keep me as a client after this comment was made. We ending the call as fine keep me on the schedule but I would like to go another office, but I had really planned on going to a new dentist. However, they have soo much turnover I did not even think this hygienist would probably be there in 3 months. I'm sooo lost by what they tried to pull than they are covering their back for liabilities issues which totally could have been avoided with allowing me to leave as a patient as I asked. LMAO! it's almost too funny to believe. I was like what threat is she referring too? Do they have this on recording? I really am shocked instead of simply calling me to say ok we can part ways, they made it a trespass issue and I still have not sent me my records. Apparently the cop said they don't want to press criminal charges. For what? LOL I'm dying to see them try. I guess they thought some rookie cop was supposed to intimidate me? who knows but this is not over. They just made it worse after trying to defame me to the police about a threat that never happened and Kelsey knows it! Again this was 5 days after the cleaning happened. So it must have become some internal battle of needing to defend one employee vs a patient? however I'll give them a week or so to formally apologize before legal action is taken. This was soooo strange that someone would cause this much pain and anguish and anxiety to a patient that was asking to be discharged! Again I'm giving them a week for a formal apology however everyone needs to learn to be careful about this dentist office in Charleston. They all gossip and want your money without truly helping or making you feel like you're in a good environment with staff who cares. Stay far away from Ammons Dental. They gossip like no other and unfortunately I don't think Dr. Ammons understands what happened here so I won't say it's him until he is ready for mediation. Medical Malpractice is that big in the dental industry everyone so understand where you are going for dental work before you go to them! They really proven here how unprofessional their office truly has become.

I don't know how people do it. Dr. Ammons and his staff have guided me and GPS'd my upper and lower jaws, inserting 4 implants in each and creating the most beautiful and effective teeth I've ever had. If only they could make my face look as good as my teeth! I come back twice a year now and once a year they remove the teeth and clean and replace them. Yesterday was record time!! Jesus was really on his game and he & Denise really work well together. My whole life whenever I go to the dentist even with Novacaine it would always be some sort of little pain when drilling was almost done. Dr. McKeeman and the staff were outstanding. My teeth were so bad I needed to get a cleaning twice as well as replace a filling and the bridge. But truly amazed me is the sophisticated equipment now it takes detailed pictures of your teeth as well as your jaw. The filling replacement was totally painless, as well as prepping for a crown. I should have written this review a long time ago because Dr. Jeff Gardner and the entire team at Smiling Oak Dentistry have been absolutely outstanding over the years. One of the things I appreciate most is how accommodating they are. If you have a problem, they'll often get you in the same day or the very next day. Over the years, Dr. Gardner has taken care of everything from routine cleanings to crowns, implants, and cosmetic dental work. Every experience has been professional, friendly, and pain-free. Recently, I noticed I was losing some enamel on one of my front teeth and was worried it would continue to get worse. Dr. Gardner repaired it, and I was honestly blown away. I still can't believe how perfect it looks! The colour match is absolutely flawless--you genuinely cannot tell where the repair was made. Her office is state of the art and she's great about walking you through what's going on with your treatment and why. Others may not, but I appreciate this time to understand why or why not a procedure, surgery, etc... is needed. She uses digital cameras and photos to show you one tooth vs another so you become a part of the process. I definitely recommend Dr. Seay personally, she's excellent. I still live in Park West but I no longer go to this office and I'll tell you why. After a visit and a recommendation to see an oral surgeon about having a tooth removed, I did. I went to Dr. Maltezos for a consult and it was recommended that a particular tooth be removed and an implant be put in. I wasn't opposed to this, but at the time, the tooth wasn't causing a problem and I was in-between jobs with no dental insurance or extra money to pay for such an expensive procedure. I had a family friend who had been my dentist for years look over the x-rays and his suggestion was that there was no immediate problem so there was no issue with waiting. Months later, I was having some sensitivity and needed a cleaning anyway. I came in to find that Dr. Seay had taken leave (I think for a few months) so I was informed that I would be seeing a different dentist. It turns out, my dentist for the day was Dr. Maltezos wife. I told her about the sensitivity in that tooth, which had actually passed, and wasn't bothering me. She pretty much scolded me after looking at her husbands recommendation and asked me "why is this tooth still in your mouth?". Um, maybe because I wasn't ready to have a tooth permanently taken out that wasn't causing me any problems and was going to cost thousands of dollars that I didn't have... that's a start. She then belittled every response I had and just ruined my experience there. It truly felt like she was just trying to push business onto her husbands office. I never ended up going back. I went to another dentist who agreed that the best tooth to have is the one that's in your mouth. I would have stuck with that dentist, but there was an insurance issue. I've now moved on to another office and actually had a new consult for the tooth. It finally started causing a problem almost 3 years later. I ended up eventually having the tooth out, which I mentioned, was my goal eventually, but I was able to do it under my own terms and when I had my insurance back in place to help defer the cost. Part of me wanted to knock this review down lower because of how my experience took such a 180, but Dr. Seay doesn't deserve that. She really is a great dentist. The office isn't cheap, but they're not sparing a single expense when it comes to the most up to date and top of the line equipment. Park West Dentistry is a great office, but I would never see Mrs. Dr. Maltezos again.
