Let me start off with the fact that I'm a Dentist. I was in town visiting my son and his family for…read morethe holidays. On Christmas day, I broke a front tooth so severely that it needed to be extracted! The height of irony, right! My son and his whole family see Dr. Horecky and have bragged to me for years how happy they have been with his care. Dr. Horecky and a super nice assistant made a special trip into the office to help me. They were able to remove the remaining tooth structure and get me immediate relief from the discomfort. His technique and style was definitely 5 Star and after 45 years of Dental practice, I know good care! To top it all, they made room for me to come in the following Monday to make me a temporary replacement to get me through the remainder of my trip. I couldn't recommend a Dental office more highly! BTW, this office is beautiful and has all the modern equipment.

Seriously, this is HANDS DOWN the best dentist I have ever visited. I can honestly say that I look…read moreforward to my visits with them. The staff are so friendly, and Dr. H is super down to earth. Amanda is my hygienist, and she is phenomenal. Even though she only sees me twice a year (normally), she remembers who I am and what is going on. She also never tries to ask me questions while her hands are in my mouth, which is awesome. She gives a great cleaning without supplying a bleeding mouth to go along with it. Dr. H has done some filling replacements (out with the metal and in with new pearly whites) and I have always been thrilled with his work! They were very kind about my ridiculous fear of needles and took it at my own pace during the procedures. He also filed one of my front teeth down to make it straighter (it wasn't much, but it makes a huge difference in my smile confidence)! If your allergic to dogs, be careful. They do have an office dog (Molly) and now an office fish (Ollie), but both are well behaved (and adorable)! The office is always squeaky clean, they have fresh coffee, and they often have drawings for cute gift baskets! VISIT THEM!

My first visit early November was okay. I am a grown adult totally afraid of dental procedures and…read moreeveryone was pretty understanding and empathetic regarding my anxiety. We discussed my tooth pain and they referred me for a possible root canal, but let's get an appointment for a cleaning in the meantime. There's laughing gas, headphones, it shouldn't be too bad. For something I truly fear doing (going to the dentist), it wasn't a terrible experience Fast forward to 11/13, the cleaning appointment. I felt totally shamed by the hygienist. She went on and on about how terrible my teeth are and how she won't be able to do a full cleaning in one session and I'll have to come back. I'm literally laying there in tears and a panic attack and just disassociating through it all. No offers of a blanket or laughing gas or anything. She just wanted me out of her chair. Today, 11/15 - I just went to the ER because I was in so much pain after the cleaning and the swelling in my face was getting worse. My cheek and chin are numb because I definitely have an abscess now. ER gave me antibiotics and told me to follow up with Smileworks or the endodontist tomorrow.

I used to go to this office exclusively for a while. Dr. Seay is an excellent dentist and really…read moremakes you feel comfortable. Her office is state of the art and she's great about walking you through what's going on with your treatment and why. Others may not, but I appreciate this time to understand why or why not a procedure, surgery, etc... is needed. She uses digital cameras and photos to show you one tooth vs another so you become a part of the process. I definitely recommend Dr. Seay personally, she's excellent. I still live in Park West but I no longer go to this office and I'll tell you why. After a visit and a recommendation to see an oral surgeon about having a tooth removed, I did. I went to Dr. Maltezos for a consult and it was recommended that a particular tooth be removed and an implant be put in. I wasn't opposed to this, but at the time, the tooth wasn't causing a problem and I was in-between jobs with no dental insurance or extra money to pay for such an expensive procedure. I had a family friend who had been my dentist for years look over the x-rays and his suggestion was that there was no immediate problem so there was no issue with waiting. Months later, I was having some sensitivity and needed a cleaning anyway. I came in to find that Dr. Seay had taken leave (I think for a few months) so I was informed that I would be seeing a different dentist. It turns out, my dentist for the day was Dr. Maltezos wife. I told her about the sensitivity in that tooth, which had actually passed, and wasn't bothering me. She pretty much scolded me after looking at her husbands recommendation and asked me "why is this tooth still in your mouth?". Um, maybe because I wasn't ready to have a tooth permanently taken out that wasn't causing me any problems and was going to cost thousands of dollars that I didn't have... that's a start. She then belittled every response I had and just ruined my experience there. It truly felt like she was just trying to push business onto her husbands office. I never ended up going back. I went to another dentist who agreed that the best tooth to have is the one that's in your mouth. I would have stuck with that dentist, but there was an insurance issue. I've now moved on to another office and actually had a new consult for the tooth. It finally started causing a problem almost 3 years later. I ended up eventually having the tooth out, which I mentioned, was my goal eventually, but I was able to do it under my own terms and when I had my insurance back in place to help defer the cost. Part of me wanted to knock this review down lower because of how my experience took such a 180, but Dr. Seay doesn't deserve that. She really is a great dentist. The office isn't cheap, but they're not sparing a single expense when it comes to the most up to date and top of the line equipment. Park West Dentistry is a great office, but I would never see Mrs. Dr. Maltezos again.
