It takes dollars, quarters, dimes, nickles, or (something new) a credit or debit card. 30 cents per gallon. The water dispensers are fast pouring, so it takes less time. The ice dispenser will provide you with a bag, or buy bulk ice and fill your own ice chest. Watermill Express has great water. The company services it daily. This one is located in between Harbor Freight and the Murphy Gas on the corner of Canton and Interstate 69-C (Hwy 281) in Edinburg.

One benefit is that there are four water dispensers, two on each side. Since I usually bring at least four, I can fill the jugs in record time. Today was more complicated. One side would not accept dollar bills, only coins. The other side accepted bills but after filling one jug would not fill any more. So I had to put the dollar bills in the one, press the "return change" button, retrieve quarters and use them on the other side... Hopefully they will get that repaired soon, because it would have been easier to go a little out of my way to the competition at Watermill.

The 12 step water purification process seems very good. It doesn't take much to be better quality than our sad tap water, but this always tastes good. At 25 cents per gallon it's a competitive price. The windmill is just decorative. For 25 cents don't expect wooden shoe clad dancers to frolic out and offer you hors d'oeuvres of chocolate and cheese. They service and sanitize the machine daily. But you don't have to touch anything but the button to indicate how many gallons you want to purchase. The hot Texas sun I'm sure also helps keep viruses like COVID-19 in check. The shelf is big enough for 5 gallon jugs. There is another shelf which slides out to accommodate smaller receptacles. There is ice available for sale either in bags, or in bulk. There is a place to set your ice chest so the ice can go directly into that if preferred. There is plenty of space to drive up and maneuver around with access from both streets. There's usually not a line. But there are two water dispensers. I usually fill between 4 to 6 five gallon jugs at a time, so if someone else comes up I free up one dispenser and finish at just one. But it doesn't take long. It's well lit at night. I've never had any safety concerns. Behind the Watermill there is a fruit and vegetable stand. Lately another stand selling aguas frescas and food opened up. So you can buy some produce after getting your water.

The dispensers are sanitized daily, but be aware during COVID-19 that other people touch the buttons. I always take sanitizer. There are bags available for the ice, but I find it easier to take an ice chest and get it in bulk. This location is next O'Reilly's Auto Parts, about a block west of the expressway on University Drive (107). There are multiple other locations nearby in the rare case this one is temporarily out of service.

This location is great with plenty of room, over on one side of the Stripes parking lot (where Hwy. 107 splits into University and Richardson Drives). However, be aware that school buses will also drop kids off here and at certain times of the afternoon this part of the parking lot hosts several additional cars with parents waiting to pick up their children. I just don't go here at that time of day. This particular Watermill has two water dispensers, but does NOT offer ice as some of their other locations. However, the Stripes store sells ice and a lot more. This Stripes location also has an air dispenser for your car tires (not free). My family enjoys the water from Watermill Express. It sure beats drinking what comes out of the tap here. They have a 12 step filtering process. I have noticed they clean the dispensers and service it daily.
