They have four GPs and though it is not always possible to get the same doctor each time you visit, it's always easy to get an appointment. You need to call in at 10.30 every morning for an appointment that evening, and at 1.30 pm for an appointment the next morning, so booking slots are not all hogged up before that time. Even so if you're unable to get an appointment you can turn up as an emergency patient each morning (as long it's before 10.20 am) and you will be seen. The GPs are really nice, they never rush you through your appointment. The reception area is fairly spacious and has a small entertainment area for young children. Would recommend this surgery to anyone.

And I get a different gp with every appointment I go to. Now I hear that this is fairly standard and I normally wouldn't be bothered by this cause Im not normally sick. But with my Crohn's I need to do follow up appointments with them instead of going to my specialist in Harrow. And so they make life difficult and frustrating. And some of the doctors are smart asses who know nothing of IBD's. Grrrr.

But if you still want to, by all means read on. The physicians are concerned for you yet hurried and therefore get you in and out of the office in ten minutes. They strike an unusual and slightly unnerving balance between making you feel as if you're just another blip on the radar of the appointment day and as if you're a real person with potentially real medical problems. The front-office staff work efficiently. Since the office is in a primarily student-populated area, the waiting room is full of pamphlets that run the gamut from warnings against chlamydia (you whore) to instructions on how to cook healthily for yourself to stave off the obesity epidemic (booga booga). It's also full of students and the odd pensioner. Conveniently, the office runs walk-in clinics every day for those people who seem to be personally opposed to setting doctor's appointments. Although, if this applies to you, be prepared to wait for a long time. And then to use the toilet during your wait because of the four cups of coffee you had before arriving. And then promptly cut the flesh of your hand open and rip your fingernail off on the toilet lock because it's fidgety and gets stuck while you're trying to lock it whilst fidgeting yourself. And then need to book yourself in to go see the nurse on top of seeing the doctor to get your wound cleaned and bandaged. This is all hypothetical, of course. I can't say I've ever got a same-day appointment like another reviewer, but the option of going to the walk-in clinic is always there. The nurse also conducts walk-in clinic hours for the prescription of contraceptives and the performance of smear tests. But of course the one time I went specifically to get my cervix swabbed she was too busy and made me set an appointment for the following week. I'm not gonna lie; I was pretty pissed about that. Not only did I reserve time in my day to make a special trip to get my vagina probed, but I was turned away-- My vagina, rebuffed; its pride, wounded.

In fact the receptionists are all really helpful and friendly. They offer same day appointments for things that can't wait in a morning and afternoon surgery. They also do a telephone consultation service in the afternoons for medication reviews and general advice from a doctor. So all together i have never had an issue with having my families needs met in good time.

I have worked with Dr. Gerlis for decades and his clinical astuteness--his ability to "connect the…read moredots" so that the patient understands the biology of their presenting complaint--is a wonderful gift to any patient. At the same time he builds up a "developing history" of the patient (over years) revealing underlying somatic patterns that are hugely important in making not only differential diagnoses but in providing clinical advice or referral. Knowing that one can email such a person and hear back within an hour (usually it is within 15 minutes) is healing in itself and leads both doctor and patient to come to reasoned and thoughtful decisions during a time that might be stressful. And it is fine that a clinic now offers in person drop in appointments. A model from the 1960's (when drop in's began) which is now revived and renewed in the 21st century. Great stuff.

They cannot do enough to help you and really work there hardest to accommodate you and see you if it's emergency. The whole practice is a breath of fresh air and I would advise anyone thinking of joining with Sobell to go ahead and do it. When I needed a second operation he took me here at the London Clinic instead. I have to say what a difference!! The front desk people were courteous and super helpful. The ward staff were incredibly compassionate and caring. The recovery nurses were efficient and reassuring and the Nurse Specialists were fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable.. Honestly what a team they have there. Having been to different Hospitals I must say there's a certain culture here that made it special. Thank you.

I was interviewed by this company in the beginning of October for a position as staff nurse. I was…read morereceiving a call everyday from this company. It eventually took them 1 month to make me an offer for the job. At the time of the offer, I was working in a different Hospital. I eventually signed the contract with the London Clinic and I was asked to resign from my current job at the time. After only one day from my resignation I was then contacted and told that the offer had been withdrawn and that the decision was made. From that moment everyone disappeared, no one answered my calls anymore. I found myself unemployed without any reason. I went to the office in order to understand how such a thing could happen. I was kept at the door. They didn't even let me see the person who took the decision. My all personal matter was shouted in the corridor in front of other people. Intimidate by two people , felt discriminated, extremely offended and literally kicked out. It really hurts seeing such a management. Passing from one day of constant calls and people pushing for me to start asap, to then being completely ignored. Do not work with this company. They go for the money, they only protect the client and there is no assurance at all for the employees. If you are about to sign with this company. Think twice before doing it.

The booking system seems very good and they usually answer the phone promptly, don't leave you hanging and give you an appointment within a reasonable time frame. The nurses are very friendly, apart from one who acts like she's a doctor and has a very superior manner. In fact, my actual doctor is far more approachable and not at all superior. All the records are computerised and if you need a referral, they will try to sort out an appointment straight away online. Highly recommended.
