It does make for a large, wide, beach to play or walk on, and the sand is soft and pleasant underfoot. There's a proper footpath and cycle track too, which runs all the way from the Marina to Mumbles Pier. You can carry on walking beyond there as well by going up the steps set into the cliff and rejoining the coastal path on its way to Langland Bay. It cascades down the hill from Sketty down to Oystermouth Road (basically the sea). It's large, sprawling and esoteric. There's a small stonehenge-y bit near the top by Uplands, there's the botanical gardens which are detailed and intricate, there's massive expanses of pure green grass looking over Swansea Bay, and towards the bottom there is the play area complete with lake, pedal boats and pubs. There are more features that roll along the vast swathes of greenery that I'll leave you to discover yourself. This park has everything really, and bags of personality. Big events are staged here in the summer too - I saw Motorhead here when I was 15, but they also host big dance music events which get very messy (in the way that people who enjoy dance music like). A beautiful place full of surprises. Take a stroll and see which side of Singleton Park you like best.

I liked seeing the coffee plants best - I drink coffee every day but never knew what the plant looked like! I sometimes go there just to take photos, especially of the tame squirrels - they will take food from your hand if you are patient. Once or twice I've seen robins and chaffinches taking food held out on someone's palm too.

It has all the facilities you would expect from a modern health club - gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis courts and much more. There's also a very nice restaurant, although it was a bit on the pricey side. There's something for all the family at this place. It's well worth a look around on one of their open days or just ring up and ask to be shown around.

The beach is very popular in summer but the promenade and paths make for a pleasant walk all year round. The beach is bordered by a long row of green and white beach huts which are very distinctive and behind lie two large car parks (pay and display). There is a newly built cafe at one end of the promenade, and a small snack bar and beach shop at the other. Further along the coastal path (just around the corner from Langland Bay) is another cafe with outdoor tables.

Well…read morethis place takes the biscuit, just try booking a swim there for a couple of Children, on a quiet Monday afternoon, you have NO chance, we almost had to go through an interrogation process, to find out WHEN, the Pool was available, THEN, to add insult to injury, it was NOT available at all for Children for WEEKS, and this is in the middle of the Summer Holidays. Seems this Pool is available to order, by groups, and the normal person in the street, doesn't get a look in here. So don't expect to just turn up for a swim with your Children, as you will be fobbed off, and told it is YOUR fault for not checking the " exact " times the Pool is available to the Public !!!!!.PATHETIC !!!!.
