The older woman working the cash register needs to be retrained on how to treat paying customers. With so many good produce places around North Van, this one deserves a pass.

I took a photo of it and kept the receipt (picture) to ask them for another product to replace the rotten one, expecting fairness from the management. However, for my surprise, the manager told me I should have kept the rotten pineapple and take it to the store to show it to him, otherwise he wouldn't be able to replace it. So I should have kept a rotten and stinky pineapple in my house for 2 days (since I wasn't able to go there the day after the purchase, and could only make it on wednsday), so I would show him this fruit so this way he would be able to allow me to replace it for any other $3.99 product. I used to be a customer at this store, as well as my brother and sister-in-law. None of us will ever go there again, for good.

But so many of the items in the store don't have a price tag on them. I need to ask the price of at least one item every time im in there. Since it's fall season, you'll find plenty of fresh assorted local BC grown apples such as ambrosia, Fuji, etc (many that major stores don't carry). I was happy to find local potatoes here which is a treat! They're conveniently located in the Lynn Valley mall near the liquor store. You can't go wrong when it comes to supporting local small businesses!
