We at Waterbeds, MN financed this man because he claimed to be a terminally ill patient who owns an art gallery in Mora, MN. We sold him this mattress which he claims he tried to return right away but he actually had it for 3 months, then tried to return it with a nickel sized hole in the top of the mattress (not the seam) and he expected us to give him a new mattress. He again stated he was broke and could not purchase another mattress. He again asked for additional financial help. We always do our best to accommodate the consumer and to offer whatever we can to correct the situation but in this case we were unable to do so. read more

We purchased a King, soft sided from Bob 2 years ago and absolutely love it. Next we got a single soft sided for our daughter-she loves it. We were just over there today to get one for our son. This business is very reasonable, and the merchandise is high quality. Don't let the lack of new carpet and fancy store fixtures fool you--you will get the best deal for less price. I no longer wake up with sore joints, and miss our waterbed when we travel. This bed will last way longer than any other bed you can purchase, and you will sleep wonderfully. I ordered a queen size full motion waterbed mattress with reinforced corners ($140 after tax and shipping) from Waterbeds Minnesota after viewing their website. This was the second mattress I have ordered from them, the first was fine. As soon as this new mattress arrived I put it in place and started filling it. It immediately started leaking as soon as water began entering the mattress. I called and spoke with them, and they said it was probably just condensation, so I just continued filling it. Once it was full I waited for it to warm up, but had to keep using a shop vac to suck off all the water appearing around the edges. It was leaking about 4 gallons every 30 minutes. It never stopped, so eventually I drained it and drove over 50 miles to return it to the store. They found a small puncture in the top right corner on the bottom of the mattress and said I must have damaged it when I opened it. I was extremely careful and just do not believe that is possible. I have had many water mattresses over the course of my lifetime and have never had a problem before. Nevertheless, they refused to refund or replace the mattress. I will not be purchasing from them in the future. Beware of the possibility of receiving a damaged product and having no recourse. read more

We were sleeping on a 25 year old waterbed...we thought it couldn't get any better than than that...we weren't looking for a so called "up grade"...we were already quite snug and content...till one night she said..."the bed feels cold"...I thought so too and upon further investigation, found out the heater had given up...so we needed to rectify that problem...and fast...having been out of the market for some time, we weren't sure where to begin our search...Google took us to many possibilities so off we went...We are very busy people...just like you...we didn't really have time to goof around but we wanted a good deal too...there was nothing wrong with our mattress if you don't count the hundred patches along the sides where we roll out...just needed a heater...we drove to Frost Ave and to be honest...I wasn't impressed with the building...or the show room either...I was expecting a spacious place...bright lights...new carpeting....and a salesman wearing a suite...ok...at least a nice cardigan and new shoes...someone who could share his vast knowledge of the industry and all the new trends in manufacturing...you know...all the things he'd learned in his two years as a sales person...we did a little looking around and it seemed like a cool old building...maybe like the hardware store of days gone by...we worked our way to the back and I stuck my nose around the corner to see an older gentleman loading cartons into his truck...he turned and smiled at us and then said "can I you find something ? ...look around and I'll be with you in just a minute"...we checked out the beds...laid on a few...and he came in and greeted us...he introduced himself as Bob..the owner...he was certainly dressed to work...maybe loading trucks...hee hee hee...we told him what we needed and he asked a lot of detailed questions...good thing she knew the answers because I didn't !...I didn't think it was all that complicated...but as I listened to Bob I realized that he was the salesman I needed...not the one I was expecting...! the more we talked and the more I listened...the more I liked Bob's personality...soon we were laughing and I was getting a waterbed education...from the vast knowledge of someone who was selling and servicing waterbeds back whenn I was a hippie...so to speak...hee hee.....hee...Bob had the heater we were looking for...but he also had a fabulous deal on the top rated mattress...the new technology...the best you can buy at a price you can't get under bright lights and new carpet...! we decided that it was time to replace the patch we were sleeping on...after all...it was twenty five or twenty six years old...Bob made sure we had everything we would need to get a good nights sleep...and that is exactly what we did...! ...and as I was waking up the next morning she said...isn't this the best...! ...and it was the best...just like our old bed...except no soggy surprises in the middle of the night...the bed...the Deal...were great...but one hundred handsome salesmen wearing fine cardigans can't beat Bob...I told him I write a review for him...that's how happy we were...and Bob I'm sorry for it taking so long....but the fact that I'm doing it now should say something about how we felt about the experience we had at your store...the one without the bright lights and new carpet...! and don't try the cardigan either...I don't think it would be a good look for you...besides...who's going to carry the boxes out to my car...?
