Honestly, The whole thing was misleading…read more You see signs everywhere that (King) Mattresses are $275 or higher but when you actually go to the location there are no king mattresses less then $1000 to try and lay on. I was offered to lay on the (twin) version of the king mattress but the whole point of going into the actual store is to try the actual bed out. The place is small and cramped. I was under the impression that there wouldn't be 3 people in the room as we try out the beds either. Tamara seems like a kind individual, but the whole thing was extremely misleading. I've asked a few of my friends what they thought of the situation and all of them also felt like this was misleading. Mattresses start at $275 but when you walk in, the cheapest mattress you can try starts at $975-$2275... All in all, just know that there are no (king) mattress to try that are basically less then $1000. Edit: I would like to respond to Tamaras response to my review. Tamara, Thank you for taking the time to respond, but I want to clarify a few things for accuracy. You mentioned in your response that I was shown the $275 mattress -- however, you specifically told us that you did not have the $275 king mattress in stock, and instead offered the twin version to lay on. The entire reason for visiting in person was to try out the exact mattress being advertised -- in the size we were interested in purchasing -- not a smaller version of it. Your signage advertises king mattresses starting at $275, which is clearly what draws people into your store. However, once inside, we found that there were no king mattresses available to try under $975. I understand your point about the feel being the same across sizes, but realistically, most people shopping for a mattress -- especially at a specific budget -- want to test the actual size they intend to purchase. That's the expectation created by your signage and marketing. Additionally, when I brought up the $275 option, you mentioned that it's typically used for "guest rooms" or "kids' rooms." This wasn't mentioned on the phone prior to the appointment, and frankly, it came off as dismissive -- as though my budget wasn't worth serious attention. Regarding the number of people present: my review never stated there were "three other people." I said I was under the impression there wouldn't be three people in the room -- meaning you and two others. Yes, you mentioned they were your children, and while I understand and respect a family-run business, it doesn't change how uncomfortable it felt to test out beds in such a small space with multiple people watching. Lastly, I do appreciate that you called to follow up, and I respect the effort. However, the tone of the conversation felt more like damage control than a genuine attempt to address the issue. My budget was under $500 -- not necessarily a fixed amount, but definitely not one where I was looking to immediately jump to $1,000+ if it could be avoided. That's why the marketing around the $275 king mattress felt misleading. If you're promoting king mattresses at $275, it's only fair that customers be able to see and try that specific mattress -- in the advertised size -- before being encouraged to upgrade. I hope you use this review to improve your customers experience. Edit Number 2: Added Tamaras response since she deleted it, she then reposted her response after.
