First-I paid almost 3 times as much for the system than if I would have purchased one from Home Depot or Lowes. Second-The installation I had done on this new product was done by a pro and the programming of the unit went well. Third-Soon after the system was installed it began doing erratic things like regenerating at different times than the one that was set. The regeneration time was cleared and reset multiple times only to have the softener revert. Fourth-I called and Emailed the customer service rep. and he tried to correct the regeneration problem by walking me through the steps but none of those fixes worked. He then contacted the manufacturer and they responded with a new fix but that did not work either. Fourth-The owners manual is THE WORST!!! It is just a cobbled selection of random instructions, almost like you walked into the middle of a conversation and then try to understand what is the gist of that conversation. Early on when I commented on this I received a call from someone at the Clean Water Store and she wanted to know and understand how they could improve the manual. I suggested she look at how Rheem or Whirlpool or GE does it. Their instruction/owners manuals whether printed or online are clear and concise. Doing so would probably eliminate many questions and Emails to the service reps. Fifth-Here I am a year later with an outstanding service ticket. A few days ago the rep. contacted me and said he was going to close out that open ticket. I replied the manufacturer never helped us correct the regeneration problem. He stated, they never got back to him. Sixth-My impression and experience shows that once you purchase from the Clean Water Store you are on your own. The service rep. tried his best but like me he was left in the lurch. The warranty on the product from the manufacturer is worthless, it means nothing. The owners of the Clean Water Store should take heed, they can not ignore ongoing product problems that affect their customers. If they continue to not serve their customers, their customers will find a company that does. STAY WAY! You would be better off throwing your hard earned money in the street.

I decided to try these guys out and the option of filling my own water bottles because I absolutely…read morehate my water delivery service now that they merged and became Refresh. I started off by buying some 5 gallon bottle lids off of Amazon. And as a test run I skipped my deliveries from Refresh, cleaned out my empty bottles and went and refilled those a couple of times to make sure this was what I want to do. And it is. I can't continue to throw money at Refresh in exchange for terrible service, mediocre water, etc. First and foremost, cleaning and filling my own bottles cost me half the price of what I was paying for with Refresh and I had the lowest end of water offered from them. Yes, it means a little extra work and hauling those jugs upstairs but it's really not that hard. I could use the exercise anyway. lol Buying your bottles is a little on the pricey side but not horrible. I found mine on Amazon and there are plenty of places to buy them around the area (you may even be able to buy them there, I have yet to go inside and check it out). The caps I bought were inexpensive and work surprisingly well. They actually work better than the crappy seals Refresh was putting on my bottles that would leak the entire time they were being stored, before using them. I have never had to wait when I go and I have gone at several different times. The machines are on the exterior of the building. The change machines take $1's, $5's, $10's (I can't remember if they take $20's) and quarters (not sure if they take other change). I just wish they had a card swipe option but it's not a deal breaker. There are several machines, so I just pop all four bottles into the machines at once and then start putting my money in and let them fill as I go. It's super easy and quick. The water tastes clean and fresh and I have had zero issues using their machines compared to five months worth of fighting with Refresh for a variety of things from leaving empty bottles behind for 5 months straight, not delivering what I asked for, leaking bottles, horrible service, etc. So, half the price and zero headaches for good tasting water? Yes, please. Do yourself a favor and get rid of Refresh, put a little extra work in and for half the price you have tasty headache free water.
