Ambiance: beautiful farm environment for a family friendly place to gather for local beers…read more Food: when we were there it was food truck and likely there will be a rotating list of food trucks. There's the usual fries, nachos, burrito etc. The brewery also has some snacks like chips and jerky but definitely the food truck is where the meals are Drinks: great brewery with some great beers. They do flight of 6 to try if you are indecisive or just want to try everything Service: great and everyone was super friendly Likelihood to return: 8/10. Mainly bc it's farther from Baltimore, but definitely worth the drive

They have both indoor and outdoor seating options and a good variety of beers. We enjoyed food from Taco Bar while we were there; they seem to rotate different food trucks. They also had MacGerk's food truck so it was cool to have two different options and there are also snacks available for purchase at the bar. Staff here were very friendly. It was cool to see many people of all ages enjoying themselves on a beautiful day. There was a band while we were there and we enjoyed listening to them while we ate and drank our beers. I'd like to go back to see how their beer rotations change; they didn't have some of my favorite styles, but still was able to find one I liked! Overall, this was a cool spot and loved reading about the history of the farm and family on their website. I'll definitely return next time I'm in the area!

The sour and stouts surprised me. I thought they would be more coffee flavored forward but glad that it wasn't overpowering but a smooth taste that allowed casual drinkers like me to not be turned off. I look forward to coming back during the warmer months and checking out the city when it comes alive!

Great location for a quick flight while you explore the rest of the area…read more Receiving a recommendation from the local Visitor Center expert Lindsey I stopped in to warm up before finding some food to eat. Right on the peir this place is no doubt busy during the summer months but for this Super Bowl Sunday stroll for me I enjoy the quiet peace sipping on my Ezra Ball Buster their flagship beer Ringtail Cream Ale, clean crisp Black Market that seems dark but is actually smooth Koslh which wraps up my flight nicely The building has sofa for families, high top for large groups, small chairs for individuals and events happening through the month. There was ample seating inside. It's also doggy friendly (and there was a dog adoption event so even more pups to pet!). Service was good and they had a nice beer selection. I enjoyed the Easy A red ale and their chocolate covered raspberry stout. Music selection was also great while we were there! They had food from a local BBQ spot while we were there; we weren't hungry at the time, but it smelled great! They also have chips and other snacks available. It looks like they have a good roster of events and I'd definitely return!

We didn't go to the outdoor part of the brewery, preferring to stay in the air-conditioning. It's got a cute indoor seating area, and was very popular with families and friends alike. The service was really helpful. You order directly at the bar, you wait for your drinks there, and any food is taken out to you. My dad got the cider and really liked it, but I felt that the star of the show was the mango blue raspberry slushy. Honestly, I should've gotten another one because it was super delicious. It was like a superstar of a drink. It was also very popular among all the girls wearing cute summer dresses, who I'm guessing were there for an engagement party or something. Most of my party got burgers, although my mom got the chicken pesto sandwich and said it was great. We all loved our burgers. I got the bacon Gouda burger, which I highly recommend. We also got some of their fries. Fantastic! Honestly, I couldn't believe the food was that good. What a great place to stumble across!

Great spot for a beer or flight while exploring Bel Air, MD…read more Minutes, hop skip and jump away from The Liriodendron Mansion. Checked that spot out for their holiday market and after driving from DE need some time to decompress with some local drafts. The brewery has over 20 different brews with sours, stouts, IPAs and lagers. Service was quick and efficient with them walking through all the different pours and offering samples to peak my interest. Their seasonal peppermint bourbon will blow you away. I usually don't do the dark beers but I would drink this all night long until Santa arrives. The space is both indoors and outdoors with special events that take up their community area with the taproom usually open to the public during events like Christmas Wreath workshop.

While I am not familiar with other local breweries and am not a connoisseur of beer in general, this place seemed like a nice social hub, with a food truck on site and live music. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is that there is no table service, so you have to stand in a fairly long line to get drinks yourself each time you want a drink (or food from the food truck), yet they ask for gratuity (not a fan of the business model when personal service isn't really provided). I went with their "Blue Eyed Blonde" beer. It was nice and cold, but also felt it wasn't anything special for a Belgian blonde beer compared to others I've tried. Beers are decently priced at $6-8 for a glass. There's a mix of indoor and outdoor patio seating, and the area with live music does tend to get packed when music is being performed. I would rate the place a 3.5/5, but happy to round up since Yelp doesn't allow for half stars. I'd recommend a visit to Independent Brewing Company if you're looking to socialize and try out a local spot for beer in Bel Air.

It was only another 15 minutes past Herr's and the reviews were stellar. We ordered some beers, it's really refreshing to see breweries that brew for the season, not just pump out hazy IPAs. We ordered a brown ale and a red ale, both were top notch! So glad I remembered to grab our growler before we left the house. We were able to take home a delicious 64oz of beer to have later. I ordered the chicken and waffles... One of the best versions of this classic I've had. Came with a blueberry sauce and the hostess suggested I get some hot sauce too... Perfect sweet, spicy, crunchy chicken over a pillowy waffle. Daughter got the kids chicken sandwich and everyone else got specials. It was a delicious meal. Nothing fancy but really tasty. They had trivia going on the big projector but we didn't partake. They had a small stage with toys on it where my daughter played and did some coloring before our food came out. The staff was super friendly, and was able to satisfy all of our questions about the menu and offer suggestions when people were on the fence. I do not see us coming back often however if we are even remotely close to the bog turtle I'm going to be sure we stop in!
