Pantano Christian Church is non-denomination. It prides itself on Loving People to Jesus. And that's just what they do. If you're in Tucson, definitely plan a visit. The church is huge, but everyone is family, just like at smaller churches. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. The cafeteria food is delicious....best chefs around. Almost every message feels so personal, like the sermon is just for me...deep meanings and great teachings. Pantano has so many strengths. One of their main strengths is with the kids. Not just toddlers or elementary, but they have fantastic groups and teachings for middle and high school ages. And if you have any availability, join in and volunteer. You can be a greeter, help with food, serve communion, help in kids' classrooms, support the audio, etc. The church is decorated well with a huge open area, basketball nets, rock climbing, etc.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more My name is Anthony Di Patre, and I am writing to formally report an alarming and unacceptable incident that occurred at the Baptist Church located at 5757 W Ajo Hwy, Tucson, AZ 85735, on May 8th 2025. I visited this church with my driver, Michael, to receive food assistance. While we were standing in line, a man who appeared to be in a position of authority--possibly the pastor--pulled me out of the line and began to criticize the way I was dressed. He claimed my clothing was inappropriate "around children," although there were no children present, only seven other adults including myself and Michael. He then demanded that I disrobe in front of him. When I firmly refused and said, "No, I will not take my clothes off and you can't make me," he told me to leave and never return. I did not argue, raise my voice, or cause any disturbance. I simply left the line and went to sit in my driver's car. My driver was then told to leave as well. He took me to a nearby gas station and then returned to the church. When he did receive food, it consisted of only four bags of slimy, spoiled lettuce and seven loaves of bread. Prior to that, the same man had prevented me from parking in a designated handicap spot, despite the fact that I have valid handicap tags. He told me my disability was "not as bad as most" and that I needed to move my car in order to receive food. The situation escalated when the man became so agitated that he struck himself in the face, knocking his own glasses off--and in doing so, hit me with them. Whether that was intentional or not, it resulted in physical contact and made me feel threatened and unsafe. After Michael dropped me off at the gas station, he reported that the man made a deeply disturbing and inappropriate comment. He told Michael that a dildo could be turned into a gun--a bizarre and threatening statement clearly directed at me. For the record, I do not own a gun and never have. Such a comment is not only inflammatory and unfounded but also dangerously suggestive. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially at a place that claims to offer charity, spiritual care, and community support. I am formally requesting that this complaint be reviewed and addressed appropriately to ensure the safety and dignity of others who seek help there. This wasn't the only time with this man. My question is this...if Jesus walked into the Baptist Mountain Church without any shoes on would you turn him away? And believe it or not ..... me not having shoes because I was robbed is how this all started for months now... I am available for any follow-up questions or if you need a statement. Sincerely, One of God's Children

The church and sanctuary are beautiful. Monsignor Tom, Father Jorge or anyone in the office, it doesn't matter: they always have a ready smile and a handshake or a hug. They just installed a projector system so each mass can show the hymns and readings on a big screen to encourage more participation. We really love it here. I have been at omos since preschool elementary years were pretty good the first two middle school…read moreyears were pretty good. My 8th grade teacher was horrible it was a horrible last year of middle school he did not on ow how to teach math or science and he didn't even teach us science all he did was just sit there on his computer not reviewing anything or writing notes down math I was so lost and didn't even learn anything it was so confusing his tutoring didn't even help me at all it made me even feel stupid. His behavior was worse first he sent a student to the office for smiling then got into a students face and told him to shut up and sent a girl to the office for no reason either and she even told him to stand back and to not get into her face he was so infuriated but I thought to myself who the hell is this person telling us we are bad kids he even said that and that apparently our past teachers failed us. His behavior kept getting worse as he kept assigning quizzes and tests unexpectedly our only option was to cheat on the tests he did not even review anything at the end of the year he literally tried teaching us slopes keep in mind it was like almost the last day of school for us. The principal was from st Ambrose and she was not a good principal because she did not even do anything about this situation probably cause we were already gonna graduate it wasn't convenient for her. Our teacher even brought up that ice was doing their jobs and that immigrants are criminals coming from him we all were so offended as many of us have parents of Hispanic culture. The way he brought that up was so inappropriate and the principal didn't even do anything he was just given a warning. He even brought up disgusting things that made us feel uncomfortable and we told him to stop but he kept going he was not a good teacher he still teaches there watch, the principal will realize soon enough keeping him there at our mother of sorrows was a mistake because students will report things he does.
