OK, So I was upset and was trying to intimidate Waste Industries into picking up my trash vis a vis Yelp... They did when I finally got a hold of a supervisor. He was prompt and went out of his way to make it right. I don't think they saw this review to make them act promptly, they did it on their own. So I am revising it from one star to four stars. read more

Waste Industries is so inconsistent. The drivers refuse to get out of their vehicles. If there is a vehicle parked on the road 25' away from your trash can, they won't pick up. Even if that vehicle is not your vehicle they will drive right by. read more

Waste Industries - Our trashcan in relation to the vehicle parked up the street. They just drove by our can. They had plenty of room to operate their vehicle. - Recycling Center Near Me - Piedmont, South Carolina

Should have negative stars on this scale. 1 star on a good day for this company. 3rd time they have skipped us and now conveniently no one answers the phone for 3 days. they don't appreciate business. Ladies at office are generally rude when you call. Poor them having to listen to complaints from a customer where trash has sat in Cul de sac all week. You guys suck!! Pick up my container that's full and shove it. This is in Greenville, SC read more

Regular increases in rates and then one day they broke numerous bottles in the road and simply drove away. So I canceled service but they would not pro-rate to the end of the month...because I guess math is hard. So I had to deal with them 3 more weeks. So then they said the account was closed and the last service would be on Jan 31. I come home and there's the can. I email & call. "Oh so sorry. We will get it next Thursday." Then they changed the date of the route to Tuesday. So I put it out last night. I come home today...and there's the can. It's trash. It's not that hard...but apparently for some it is amazingly difficult...just like math. If you still use them, you deserve each other. Good luck. I'll be waiting here for your 1-star review later. read more

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET. My 93 year old mother could not get them to pick up her yard waste. She would call and they would promise to and then wouldn't. After a MONTH, they told her she needed to pay her bill, I went online and paid it and they STILL won't pick up her yard waste. The phone is often out of order, all you get is a busy signal and there is no email, no way to contact them through an online account. Nothing. Pathetic. Use a different service if you can. PS I live in Lexington, SC, don't know why it shows San Francisco. read more

Service has been on point from Jan '21 (start of service) until last Tues (May 25th). They didn't pick up. I called & was credited $3 towards my bill & told to wait until this week & put trash can back out along with ALL other trash...even if it was in another trash can that wasn't theirs. Yesterday, Tues, June 1st, trash pick up day, I called @ 8:30am to confirm with them of the trash pick up of 2 cans. They assured me it would be picked up. They NEVER showed!!! I called again this morning, Wed, June 2nd. Pam, the lady who answered the phone, said she spoke with the Operations Mgr. The OM supposedly said to leave the trash can on the street & they would be by sometime this week to pick it up. When I asked for a specific date Pam refused to get back with the OM to find out. I'm tempted to take both my cans & dump it in their parking lot!!! read more

I only give 1 star because it is not possible to leave 0 stars. 2 1/2 weeks no trash collection multiple calls to customer service. No return calls no action no resolution. This is by far some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not use 5his company they do not deserve your business or mine. read more

wow. my can was destroyed while out for pickup. it was left off of the road and was up in my yard when I got home. I can only assume that the trash guys. destroyed it or left it in the road to be destroyed. called and contacted on FB the day after. a week later it has not been replaced. I am disabled and have to get someone else to drag it back and forth from the house. very bad service read more

They could care less about you. First they raised our rate 3 months after signing up. Now we HAVE to cancel service late April due to moving and they are still going to make us pay for the entire quarter so we're paying for April, May and June even though we'll be gone the third week of April. The lady on the phone was rude and said there is nothing they can do that's their policy.....Uh Prorate maybe??? Worst waste company ever! read more

So far, this company is good only at taking this new customer, charging his credit card for three months of service, not showing up to pick up trash, not answering repeated phone calls, not returning voicemail. Finally, was referred to a supervisor's voicemail, but still no answer, no return phone call. No trash pickup. But they sure do require and make sure they are paid for not picking up trash. The local office in Anderson, South Carolina is terrible at providing service and at resolving problems. read more

I have had to call this company of up to six times to come pick up my trash. I pay for a service why should I have to call them. This last time that my trash was missed, I called and was assured it would be pick up on Sat. On Monday I called again and was told that it would be picked up on Tues. I called back on Tues. asked for the superior. Was transferred to message machine. She then returned the call stating" that my trash would be picked up on Wed's." Guess what today is? Guess what still hasn't happened. This company doesn't even deserve one star. It is hot here in the south. The trash is unpleasant for my neighbors and myself. Whom by the way have said "Who is your trash service with? " "I will be sure not to use them!" read more

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! These people and this company suck!!! Do not do business with them at all. They will lie to you directly over the phone and tell you they are coming and won't show up. They received a 1 Star from me only because I cannot give them anything less. This company is not into customer service you are NOT the priority in their world!! Stay far far away. From these people as they will tell you one thing from one office to another and NEVER come through!! read more

We had service with Waste Industries for 3yrs. We had complaints before but this last complaint did it for us. They did not pick up all our trash from The 4th of July so we canceled our service. They have yet come to pick up the garbage can. SMH read more

Waste industries took my damaged garbage can Friday before Memorial Day without any previous knowledge or replacement. After calling and informing them they stated that they would bring a replacement by Tuesday however as of Wednesday I still have no replacement, even after several calls. They just keep telling me it's on the schedule, they've offered no apologies or credit to my billing. Will be canceling my service and going with another service as soon as possible. read more

Terrible customer service. They forgot to send me an invoice and then canceled my service for non-payment. Then the rude customer service representative acted like it was my fault. Save yourself heartache and get someone more professional to service your waste needs. read more

They skipped our house several times, then when I tried to cancel service (since we were moving anyway), they refused to refund the money I had paid them up front saying they used the money to pick up extra trash people left out! Really?!?? Several employees were EXTREMELY rude to me about the whole process even though I was paying for a service they did NOT provide! Will never give this company my money again. Would rather haul the garbage myself. read more
