I was here to vote during Election Day. I went right after work and was happy i made it before they locked the doors at 7pm. I ended up being 5th from the last person. The line wasn't too bad as the line was moving pretty steady. While waiting we were given chips, pizza, water, and granola bar. We received a big thank you each time they gave us food which I appreciated! Everyone who helped was so nice which made the wait and experience of voting painless. read more

We got our marriage license application and it was fast and easy on a Saturday too!! We didn't have to take a day off or escape work. There was no line and it was fast and easy. We paid by card there is a fee and Applied online before coming. You Dont get a certified marriage certificate in reno. This is a review for our Community Services, road maintenance, specifically snow removal. Dude, where's my snow plow? I do have to give our county government credit for working hard and making sure our Washoe County residents are safe, dry, and warm. But I was whining for 4 days that our road was not plowed and it just was not one of the priority streets so I had to be patient. I did happen to be in Reno during the 90's when we had those horrible floods and realize that the County Services have improved our drainage challenges and am very thankful. I am grateful that our service providers worked 24 hours a day and our roads were finally plowed, making it easier to movearound our Biggst Little Snowiest City! read more

This review is for the recorders office. I went here to apply for a passport for my son. They were so amazing with my very talkative and inquisitive 4 year old. Tami was the one who helped us, but there was another lady there who was equally as friendly. They were so patient with my son when he had to get his passport photo. They gave him crayons and an activity book while I was busy taking care of all the paperwork. This is a stark contrast to the post office experiences I've had in the past. If you need to apply for a passport, this is the superior option! read more

This election is more important than any election of my lifetime. I called to confirm that ballots could be dropped off at any time. The large parking lot is right in front of Building A. They will take your temperature and require a mask. Be sure to properly place your ballot in the privacy envelope, sign the flap, and seal it inside. They will take a stamp and date the receipt and that is it. Very friendly and quick. Do your civic duty and vote. Dropping off your ballot here is the most secure way to do so. read more

I was very surprised that this government building was actually clean and had a nice, big parking lot. I was able to find one at the very front and made my way over to building B to pick up a copy of a birth certificate. Although, I didn't find anyone to help me find where I needed to go, there were signs as you keep walking through the building so I was able to find it eventually. It was very empty and kind of dark when I went. But I was able to find the forms and filled it out quickly. The lady who helped me was kind and processed everything very quickly too. I am so happy to give a good rating to a governmental entity. The rating is for the whole shebang - ease of access, comfort and appearance of the facility and the customer service. EASE OF ACCESS: The Washoe County Complex is just north of I-80 at Wells Avenue and 9th. It really couldn't get a whole lot easier. The parking lot is huge and is almost sanely laid out with entrances and exits in multiple locations. All of the buildings are accessible from the central plaza, are well marked with clear signage, and there is a very handy location map at the central plaza. FACILITY: One you get inside, there are lots of open spaces, widows and real plants. The offices are well marked and it is clean and very well maintained. In the building B, where you go to pay your property taxes, there is even a water container filling station as a part of the traditional water fountain. Recycling bins are everywhere. There are chairs and comfortable benches through out. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Every time I have come here, to change my voter registration, to pay my property taxes, I have been treated professionally, politely and with a smile. So dispel the notion of the grouchy government bureaucrat waiting behind a glass barrier just waiting to snarl and snap at you. Every experience has been pleasant and the staff are knowledgable and willing to assist their customers. While I usually do not have to go on a regular basis, this is a government facility that does not make me dread the prospect of doing business here. read more

A government service and it gets a 5 star rating? Before you start to think i'm being federally funded to make this review, hear me out! This place is easy to find - right off the freeway - with clear signage everywhere and ample parking. As an additional bonus, since there are several buildings all clumped together, each building has a large sign with the building letter on it indicating the building ID. Very helpful when you are unsure how everything is laid out. Once inside the appropriate building I was delighted to find even more signage. I found the room I needed within minutes. Also, with my wife a few minutes behind me, I was able to give her extremely easy directions so she didn't have any issues finding the office either. I stepped inside before her arrival to see if I could get paperwork started. I was greeted right away by polite and smiling faces. I mentioned I was in for a marriage license and was told it was easier to complete once both parties were present. They encouraged me to wait and relax by the fireplace. Yes, fireplace. For holiday cheer, the employees constructed a fireplace in the waiting area with stockings and holiday decor. So charming and adorable. Once my wife arrived we went to the window and a very friendly employee began our paperwork. I was quite nervous going into this, wondering what kind of response we would receive as two women attempting to obtain a license. I was nervous for no reason. It was incredibly comfortable and easy. The entire process took less than 20 minutes and when we left we had a Nevada marriage license in hand. I am so thankful for how incredibly easy this entire process was. Thanks to their kind and efficient employees I will not hesitate to go back to any of their buildings for the assorted services they offer. read more

I had a great experience getting my Marriage License form get completed but when I drove all the way down from Sac to get a copy of my marriage license now that it is finalized the stupid website gave me there library address. Again I came from Sacramento and can't come back again. So they told me sorry we are closed and can't help you. So again I would never recommend there office if they can't honor at least 5 f****** minutes of there time to help someone. Not my problem that there website gave me the wrong address. So dam irritated and pissed. So to the B**** I spoke with go to F****** hell. read more
