I live easily 2,000 miles from the nearest branch and refuse to change my primary bank account, as nothing has ever come close to eclipsing this one. I get better interest rates on CDs, Savings, and credit cards here than at any other bank I've checked out. The worst service I've ever received at WSECU is still better than 90% of my experiences at other banks; I'm able to stop into this branch no more than about twice a year for the past 7 years, and they still greet me with a smile and recognize me. The online banking is easy to use and convenient, and I'm not sure I've had a complaint about them yet. If it is possible for you to get an account here, by all means, do so. It is definitely worth the experience.

My income is from Social Security which I receive on a debit MasterCard each month. When I opened…read moremy account, I asked if they would be able to do a balance transfer from this card to a checking account and I was told several times that it wouldn't be a problem. In fact for my opening deposit, they were able to do exactly that and I went away happy. Then the next month rolls around and I go back to the bank to once again have the funds transferred off my card and into my checking and I'm told that they are unable to do that. I asked to speak with the manager and it was the lady that opened my account and transferred the money for me to open the account. She literally stood there and said they aren't able to do this as they haven't been contracted with MasterCard in about 6 months. I told her that she had told me it wouldn't be a problem when she opened my account and she said she didn't say that. When I told her that she had actually made that transfer the month before and I still had my receipt, she said she isn't perfect and must have made a mistake. So now I'm at a bank that literally lied to me in order to get my business and they can't perform the transaction they said they could do each month. To top it off, they keep putting holds on checks that I deposit. They put a 10 day hold on a check that cleared my friends bank in two days. Now I have to go through all the trouble of finding a new bank again, dealing with my auto pay bills and then closing this account. I would tell anyone to avoid this bank and their dishonest practices.

After four visits to Wells Fargo in CDA, each time bringing more documentation to try and obtain the coveted Medallion Signature Guarantee (MSG), the buffoon of a manager finally informed me that they wouldn't give it to me unless the trust account was in their bank. It took one phone call to P1FCU and Jim, kind as he is, relieved all of my fears. Within an hour and half, we had met with him and Brian to both set up new accounts and to obtain the MSG. One need not infer that national banks are superior as this experience proved that even managers at big financial institutions don't understand many details let alone provide the proper level of customer service that a local credit union does. I can now attest that one of the P1FCU street sign ads is true: that I was treated more like a friend than a number or an account.

It was AWD and once I paid the insane amount to get it back, my car wasn't the same. AWD stopped working, my brakes went bad. I will never ever get a loan with this company again.
