Although I intended to buy a PA-state product, my frugal nature trumped my state loyalty and I chose a 30pk of HAMM'S at $12.99. When I took it to the cashier (a grandmotherly lady) she said the price was $15.77. I politely reminded her that the posted price on the wall was $12.99 and with a 6% tax came to $13.77. After checking her register again she agitatedly repeated that the price was $15.77. I then stated that I did not want the beer and promptly went up the street and bought a case from your competitor for $21.53 (I guessed I showed her.) If I was wrong please inform me so that I can apologize. If I was right, I hope you would sell me a 30pk of HAMM's for $13.77.

So we had the beer delivered, under the impression that it was free delivery. Then when we went to return the extra cases after the wedding, as they said we could return any unopened cases, we were told that a delivery charge was included in the price of every case we purchased and they would only refund the case at the lower, non-delivery charge price. The owner was rude and didn't care when I told her that was a lousy way of doing business, especially when we were told no delivery charge and would have delivered the beer ourselves had we known we would get charged an extra 5 dollars per case for delivery to a place that was one mile away. The owner insisted she was doing us a favor by letting us return the cases at the lower price, as opposed to not at all, but it is their standard policy to accept any returns that are unopened, not a "favor". To not tell us there was a 5 dollar up-charge per case for delivery and act as if there were no delivery fee at all then only refund the store price without the delivery charge is a deceitful and underhanded business practice and we will not be shopping here again, nor will our business associates.
