Where to start! I usually don't write reviews but the quality of the wash and the additional service we received was too much to ignore.
We took a road trip over Christmas to visit my wife's college boyfriend in Ontario. We toured most of the Hockey rinks he played in (he was a professional) and by the time we got back the ole Grand Caravan was somewhere between 75-80% salt, with a bit of dirt mixed in. I had been cleaning the window at gas stops, but the car was coated otherwise like a candy apple at the fair!
We had seen the construction of the Wizard Wash and had heard good things about the one in Summerville so when we saw they had opened we pulled our sweet Bessie in to give it a try. WOW is all I can say. The lights reminded my wife of her Raving days, but I was thrilled watching the Mortons salt factory roll off Bessie's windows. The car was virtually spotless, but more on the "virtually" in a bit. We pulled up to the FREE vacuums, the kids had the better part of 3 poutines on the floor as well as 2000 miles of straw wrappers, napkins, and other food stuff beyond the greasy fries on the floor. Those vacuums sucked it up like a professional and made light work of the mess.
Now the virtually bit. It was then I noticed the back of the van wasn't quite as clean. I just assumed this was because it was particularly filthy and planned to pay for the cheapest wash on the menu and to run her through again. Honestly, as dirty as the van was this seemed more than fair and I wasn't upset. But as we were finishing the vacuuming Brian walked up and asked us about the experience at the Wizard Wash. This guy was something else, a hale fellow well met for certain. We chatted and I was "that guy" and pointed out that the wash and vacuums were great, but the back of my van was just "fair" and I was going to run it through again. Well, Brian walked around the car and noticed I hadn't pulled my trailer hitch. He explained that the hitch can affect the sensors. So he had me pull it out of the receiver and gave us a complimentary run back through the lights and suds. My wife got busy looking up Sirus XM DJ radio and I just sat back and tried not to notice her raving in the car while the Wizard did his magic. After pulling out, we checked the back of Bessie to find her clean enough to serve Sunday dinner off her rear window!
Brian smiled and said the Wizard is a mighty sorcerer but we have to do our part to set him up for success. THIS GUY!!! I left with a monthly membership and a new understanding of modern car wash engineering, Brian truly loves this stuff like normal guys love fantasy hockey.
Can't wait to see the Wizard on a regular basis. Thank you Brian and Mr. Wizard! read more
