These folks are wonderful! I called yesterday, during peak powder frenzy, flurry of customers wanting to head to the mountains. Live person actually answered the phone! I explained to John that I was unable to travel, due to health emergency and was to have taken 3 people to Park City who are too young to have used my rental SUV I had reserved. He was empathetic, personable, and arranged for transportation for these young men! Gayle, the driver, was prompt, clear re: rendez-vous location and delivered everyone in timely manner. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and water was offered. We shall definitely use Wasatch Shuttle in future - whole-heartedly recommend! Seamless from start to finish! read more

30 MINUTES LATE for an AIRPORT TRANSFER!!!!! Scheduled an 11:00 AM pick-up to go from Park City to SLC (even called the night before to confirm that the driver would be there) and nobody showed at 11 AM so I called and was told the driver was still dropping off other clients... what?! I could care less about "other clients", I've got a flight to catch... told to wait, that he'd be right there... my party of 5 stood outside in the driveway in 20 degree temps for a FULL 30 MINUTES until some old mini-van pulls up at 11:30 AM. No exaggeration. Driver was oblivious to the fact that he was even late, I say "hey we're 30 minutes late we gotta get moving" and he say's "oh, wow, I apologize". Okay, great, maybe I can call United and tell them my driver said he's sorry. Are you kidding me? But yeah, Wasatch charged me the full rate even though they were a half hour late and caused quite a bit of travel day stress. Was planning on arriving early to the airport and eating before boarding the plane, no time for that... we rushed to our gate and barely made it, and with a tight connection in Houston the 5 of us went through a 7 hour travel day on a few cliff bars. Awesome. I travel the world on business, 10 minutes early is the rule for airport transfers... if you're not early you're LATE. The airlines are bad enough to deal with, do yourself a favor and book a different transport company. read more

DO NOT TAKE THIS SERVICE! I rarely write negative reviews but this is perhaps the worst experience I have ever had with any company. Firstly, the pricing is a scam as they add fees for literally everything. Second, John (owner) has very poor customer service skills and lies about details to get you to spend more. At one point in the conversation I had to ask him to stop yelling after I had asked about why his prices were so much different from the advertised price. Now I'm dealing with duplicate charges which I truly think are intentional. The drivers were very nice and on time but everything else about this company is a huge scam. read more

Heading to Sunrise Lodge HGVC? Need to stop for food, supplies, liquor, etc. On your way? I called multiple shuttle services and this was best priced and best response! Family owned really means something to John and everyone who helped reserve our shuttle. My plane was 2 hrs late and they tracked it and came as soon as I had my bags. Took 5 of us to Costco, waited 30 mins + for us to shop, then a separate stop to liquor store (Utah laws) and right up to the lodge. We were set for the week. If Snowbird's backcounty doesn't get your heart racing and/or you want the fear of God put into you, book this transportation service immediately. If you value safety, timeliness, up-to-date vehicles, competent drivers, good business or integrity - you might want to look elsewhere. As to not bore you with details let me provide a succinct overview of my group's experience with Wasatch Shuttle Company. Issue 1: We were picked up, late at night, in a minivan barely large enough to fit 5 grown men let alone all of their snowboard and miscellaneous luggage. We had a mildly infuriating hour drive to our Canyons' condo with our snowboards and luggage haphazardly mixed between us. Issue 2: We were to be driven into Little Cottonwood Canyon to ride Snowbird. After having to give the driver turn-by-turn instructions on how to find us, we were greeted by our befuddled chauffeur in a late 90's Dodge minivan (motion to change "Wasatch Shuttle Company" to "Wasatch Minivan Brigade"). The rationale for providing this type of vehicle was that the driver had wrecked the other car and had to take his mother's minivan as there was no other option. If this, alone, was not bad enough, none of the gauges worked (speedometer, tachometer,odometer, gas gauge, etc.), the check engine light was on and once we were ascending the mountain the minivan got stuck in first gear. Not good. However, all of these "hiccups" pale in comparison to the complete ineptitude of our driver. This was apparently his first time ever driving into either of the Canyons and, as such, was sightseeing along with his passengers. This lead to him taking his eyes off the road multiple times, one time completely veering off into the other lane on a narrow, two-lane blind curve as we were traversing up the mountain. He responded with a laugh and remarked "AT LEAST NO ONE WAS COMING ON THE OTHER SIDE!". Issue 3: We spent our final day riding Brighton in anticipation of taking a red-eye flight out of SLC Airport. Wasatch Minivan Brigade was to pick us up at 8pm for the hour ride to the airport. It had been snowing off and on throughout the day but the roads were clear and everyone at the resort seemed to think there should be no issue with us getting out of there. Boy, were they wrong. We were phoned around 8pm by Wasatch informing us they were unable to make the trek up the mountain due to "road closure" because of weather and a serious accident involving a car in a ravine. This seemed odd to everyone (mostly the well-informed front desk attendant at the Brighton Lodge) so we called the local police who confirmed that there was no accident and no road closure. He did mention a 4x4 vehicle and/or chains were needed. Thus, we were lied to by the company which leads us to believe they had either attempted to pick us up in FWD or RWD vehicle without chains or just never attempted to get us at all. If you are operating a transportation company in Utah and are willing to drive into the mountains there are a few factors to be considered: 1. every vehicle should be AWD/4WD capable 2. every vehicle should have a set of chains for the tires 3. the drivers should be competent and have driven these roads before Wasatch failed on each one of these points and during the process showed absolutely no compassion or general business sense/customer service. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. You are better off paying 3x to use UBER (which we did); at least they'll be more likely to get you to your destination on time and in one piece. read more

If you value safe, honest, and punctual companies to work with for your transportation, DO NOT use this company. We hired this company to do a total of 6 trips during our trip to Park City Utah. The first trip the driver was late and we had to give him directions to our location even though we gave him the address weeks in advance. The driver showed up in his mothers minivan which none of the gauges in the car worked, including the odometer. The car shakes when it went above 65 and felt a little like a death trap. On our way to Snowbird ski resort, the driver was so enamored with the view, he took his eye off the road and swerved into the other side of the road. Not fun. Three other trips this company was late to pick us up. They showed up well after the time frame they said they would be there. The last straw that made me write this review was when this company was going to pick us up to take us to the airport. We were at Brighton ski mountain and it was snowing. They called us at 7:45 and said they could not get to us because they have shut down the access road to the mountain. Obviously we were upset because we needed to get to our flight. After doing some investigating we realized the road was not shut down, they just required a four wheel drive vehicle to get into the canyon. When we called back to the car company they changed their story and said a cop told them they could not drive up the road due to an accident. Well, luckily we found a UBER driver who was close to come get us. He entered the canyon about the same time we were supposed to be picked up. He told us he saw no cops and no accident what so ever. I. Top of that we called the police and they said the road was never blocked off. So this company blatantly lied to us and we had to scramble to find other alternatives last minute to get to our flight. Zero stars for this company.....well I think have to give at least one star to post this review. Worst experience ever dealing with a car company. Avoid this company at all costs. My experience with Wasatch Shuttle during our group vacation this past week was nothing less than a prolonged nightmare. My decision to choose this company and not rent a vehicle for our 4 day ski trip was to reduce stress and increase our safety, sadly neither occurred. I was constantly on the phone with the owner John attempting to solve the problems that occurred on a daily basis throughout our trip which inevitably ruined my vacation. I first knew something was wrong when one of his drivers, actually his brother, showed up in a minivan to pick us up from the airport. It was nearly impossible to fit ourselves and luggage within the vehicle. Instead of a comfortable hour drive to the condo we were crammed inside a minivan with our snowboards on our lap. As we were dropped off I made sure to tell the driver this was unacceptable, he agreed and knowing that we had five other trips booked over the next few days we were assured a different vehicle was would assigned. Our next scheduled trip was a day later, our driver was scheduled to pick us up at 8am and take us to Snowbird resort. I received a call at 8:00am from the driver who for some reason had the wrong address, we were then tasked with navigating him to our location. Upon arrival, roughly 8:30am the driver was again in a minivan, however this time the van was very old 1990's Dodge Caravan. Besides the beat up nature of the van none of the gages worked in the car, we didn't know how fast the driver was going or how much fuel we had left, the driver found this amusing. Once again we found ourselves driving with our snowboards on our laps. He claimed it was his mother's car and that he had been in an accident the previous day with the vehicle he was supposed to transport us in. If that wasn't bad enough he was a terrible driver, he did not obey local traffic laws, mainly staying in the proper lane. When asked to pay more attention to the road he replied "what's wrong there's no one coming" and laughed, clearly he lacked the intelligence to understand the severity of the situation. I fully regret taking this ride and was blinded by the trust I had established with John the owner, this was no longer a matter of inconvenience it was our lives he was blatantly disregarding. I immediately called John as we arrived to the mountain thinking that he must not have known and a company like his, well at least as I was lead to believe from their website, could not have made such an egregious lack of judgment. They claimed all of their vehicles are "regularly inspected and maintained" when clearly this was not the case. Once I got him on the phone he too did not seem that concerned, corroborating the driver's story and simply stating that he didn't have any other vehicles available. I was in a state of shock and left with very few options, he promised to have a different care pick us up and as much as I didn't want to take a car operated by his company we had no other choice. By the end of our trip days of riding had left us all exhausted, it was 7:36pm and the driver was supposed to pick us up at Brighton Resort by 8pm, that's when I received the first call. It was our driver stating that he was on his way up the canyon. At 7:56 and 8:00pm I received two additional calls, one stating that the driver was stopped at the bottom of the canyon due to a road closure and secondly to say that he was not coming to get us. During the second call the driver Jake, John's brother let us know that we should probably call our airline because we would be stuck there all night. This shocked everyone I was traveling with however given the track record of the company we were naturally suspicious. Our first call was to the police who let us know the road was open however all cars were required to have 4-wheel drive, something you would assume was known being that it was Utah and wintertime. Our next call was to an Uber driver who happened to have just driven up the supposedly closed road and dropped off a customer near our location, he picked us up and drove us to the airport. As we left the resort none of us knew what to expect, would there be police fishing a wrecked car out of a ravine or a barricade closing the road as described by Jake? Simply stated, no. Although it was lightly snowing the road was wet, many cars were traveling the road and when we approached the bottom no police or accidents, even our Uber driving laughed at their excuse. I attempted to call John and Jake multiple times over the next hour and was unsuccessful. Finally, I received a call back from John who was unapologetic. He claimed that the road was still closed and that he personally spoke with the officer who made his drivers turn around which was simply untrue. At this point I had lost the will to argue and had to hang up with John who was yelling through the phone at me, still adamant that he was in the right. I hope that this review will serve as a warning for anyone considering using this company. read more

I had a TERRIBLE experience with this company, they will STEAL your money. I booked on the phone then cancelled right after booking as I found another means of transportation. I was told that they require 24hrs to cancel (I was NOT told this when booking not agreed to the terms in any form) and they would charge me anyways. I never stepped in their car and was charged a high fee which thankfully my bank reversed. Also when booking there was a baby screaming in the background if that can attribute at all the the unprofessional nature of this company. read more

I'm not typically one to write a review but I had such a nice time with this Company. My girlfriend and I are from the Central coast of California and decided to visit Salt Lake City over the summer. We chose Wasatch Shuttle service because they appeared to be the best value for the price. Honestly, I'm glad we did. Our driver was so nice, and actually quite funny once we got talking to em. We got to our destination without any problems and this was after the driver picked us up five minutes early. They were very knowledgeable about the overall area, and what kinds of things, someone visiting, might want to see while there. The vehicles were very clean; smelled nice too. Overall it was quite refreshing to not have to worry about transportation while we were in their hands. read more

Charged double! I organized shuttle arrangements for a ski club arriving at the Salt Lake City Airport and going to Park City for lodging. I thought I was getting a great deal from Wasatch Shuttle when I booked the service clicking on the RoundTrip button which stated it would be $65. When I got the confirmation email, there was no price associated or info on pickup times/locations. I could not find this info on-line but called Wasatch & the rep stated there was a $10 charge in addition for each person riding. I followed up with Wasatch as my group expanded and gave him my flight arrival information and passenger's names. Pickup and service was great until I found out I was being charged $85 ONE-WAY for 3 people plus a $20 change fee on the front end (since I added 2 others). I didn't receive this pricing info until less than 24 hours before my departure & was told I couldn't cancel since it was less than 24 hours out. Our group ended up getting 2 shuttles and both experienced the same issue - charged DOUBLE what was expected. I could have gotten an UberXL or UberSki (oneway for ~$55 or $110 overall) instead of being charged $190 by Wasatch. I provided snap shots of every step I performed during my on-line reservation to show why I expected my rate to be Round Trip vs. One way but received no reply back. read more

This company deserves zero stars however that isn't possible on Yelp. I found this service dishonest, unprofessional, and dangerous to put it lightly. For someone like myself, who is only able to get away for short bursts at a time, I truly value positive interactions with people I give my hard earned money to. Instead of renting a car, my friends and I decided to use a car service to escort us to different mountains throughout the area. We were concerned with snowboarding rather than trying to drive up mountain passes we were not accustomed to. After several interactions with this company, it became apparent that they truly were unable to meet the basic needs of their clients and had zero regard for their safety and well-being. One would think that picking up 5 men with full luggage and ski gear would require a larger vehicle. Each day was a game of Russian roulette guessing which of the stellar drivers was going to show up (If we were lucky). The reason for this review, which still upsets me, was the last interaction my friends and I had with the owner of the company. On our last day there, we arraigned for the service to pick us up from the mountain and drive us to the airport to catch our flight. Several members of the group needed to get home for work. The owner blatantly lied to us, telling us the road was closed, and stranded us at the top of a mountain. Stay away from this shuttle. read more

I used this service recently traveling from Salt Lake City to Park City. I was with other members of my ski club. I have two parts to my review: 1) the positive: shuttle was on time for our pick up and return, drivers seemed very capable and the shuttle unit, clean. 2)the negative: I feel we were victims of a "bait and switch" pricing. We especially coordinated members of our club to arrive and depart at the same time and were under the impression that there was a flat rate for leasing the entire vehicle, as in sharing a cab. Surprise, there were added charges tacked on for added passengers. The website is quite confusing. We tried to diplomatically resolve this to no avail. The driver missed out on a generous tip!!! read more

Everything was great. Drivers were awesome. Pickup was very punctual. The drivers were very friendly, remembered the kids names and what we like to do. We used them for 2 days round trip to Alta from Park City. Cars were top of the line Explorer and Tahoe. Comfortable ride and felt safe the entire commute even when the roads were all but closed due to heavy snows in the canyons. read more

I had a terrible experience with this shuttle company. First they overcharged me for my ride from SLC to Park City. The website advertised $65 one way (in big bold red letters) but I was told my arrival at my destination that this was a "high traffic day" and therefore $85. I asked them at that time not to charge me for the return reservation because I did not want to pay the higher price. In spite of this phone communication, my credit card was charged and the man "John" said I did not cancel within 24 hours so I would not receive a refund. It was 22 hours before my return trip at this time. When I continued to request a refund for the return trip that I would not be using he said "I really don't give a shit what you think" and refused the accommodation. Terrible customer service and poor communication. I'll never use them again and think anyone considering them should look elsewhere. read more

Long Story short a very disappointing experience from a very dishonest and unethical operator who lied to me several times. I booked the shuttle in the morning of my departure making it very clear I needed to be at the airport just before 5PM. After being told there would be an additional $20 fee for a late booking I reluctantly agreed to pay $85 to get to the Airport. He assured me I would be picked up just before 4. By 4:15 his driver was a no show and I was freaking out (flights to Australia and daughters birthday to get back to) so I looked up an Uber ($45) and called Wasatch Shuttle to cancel - the owner said there would still be a charge if I cancelled and reassured me the car was "just around the corner"...so I waited.....another 5 minutes passed and I called back very concerned and he said "Dont worry we will get you to the airport by 5 or there will be no charge". I agreed to these new terms and by 4:30 the driver finally arrived. Sure enough she got me there after 5 (5:15 to be precise) and I called the owner to discuss my disappointment. Not wanting to be a total jackass I said although he'd agreed to no charge I'd be happy to pay what the Uber would have cost as a compromise ($45) - he rudely told me that legally he could still charge me the full amount - and I agreed he probably could but ethically it would be wrong as he had promised a free ride if I wasn't there by five. I told him it's either zero as agreed or $45 and he reluctantly agreed and I thought it was over. Well several weeks later and I get a receipt saying I was charged the full $85 amount. Can't say I am surprised but I would strongly advise you to get a ride with a more reputable company - this company is a joke. Note one positive: The girl who drove me was kind enough and apologetic for being late. Another Note - I have reached out via web page contact to get clarification on why I was charged the full amount. I will be updating this post with the actions the company take over the next several days (if any) as there is a very small chance there was a clerical error on their end - let's see..... They were great to work with and meet all our needs. Our flight was late and they were there waiting for us. The driver was very friendly and professional. Plenty of room in the vehicle and very clean. Our departure flight left early in the morning and it was not a problem for them to pick us up @ 4:00 am. We felt very safe with the driver especially going up the canyon, no concerns at all. Their service was prompt and professional from the beginning to the end. I will definitely recommend them to all my friends as the ski season is quickly approaching. We will be back! read more

I booked my shuttle reservation over the phone a month in advance of my trip, even received an email confirmation. When pick up was ten minutes late, called for info on a reason for the delay. Was told the person was running late due to the last client requesting an additional unplanned stop. Was also told they had lost my reservation so they didn't have my number to call to let me know they were running late, I had to tell them where I was being picked up and where I was being dropped off, plus had to rebook my return ride. Ended up being picked up 40 minutes late. On the return trip, I was called three hours prior to pick up saying they were running 30 minutes late and might be about that late to pick me up but also might be caught up and able to pick up on time. Called after ride had not shown up 45 minutes after scheduled time and no one picked up or called back after I left a message. Ride arrived one hour after scheduled time. No acknowledgement or apology either time about running late. read more
