I again had them come out a few weeks ago because I had one of my automatic door openers fail. While out here I had them do their 29 point safety inspection. I had them do the inspection, safety checks, lubricate the door and service the door. They did a very poor job. They lubricated the overhead door spring by standing 3 feet way and spraying their lubricant in the direction of the spring. it did not look affective and so I got a ladder and looked closely. There was a light spray on the wall, but I could not see or feel any lubricant on the spring. The technician also lubricated the door rollers by standing 2 to 3 feet away and giving it a little squirt. There was no noticeable lubricant on the rollers or the roller bearings. I asked if he could give the door a little more lubricant and he said no, that is all they do. I asked the technician if he would connect the door opener to the door button in my car and he said no, read the manual and do it yourself. I was very disappointed with the service and so I called the office and talked to the owner of the company. He said he would talk to the technician and call me back to address my concerns. It has been over 6 weeks and I have not heard anything. I went to Lowes and purchase a can of garage door lubricant and lubricated the door myself. The auto button in the car is still not connected. I will not use Pioneer Overhead Door in the future.

This was the second time we had Legacy Doors and More as our contractor. We need our unfinished…read morebasement turned into a comfortable living space. We chose Legacy because it is a local, independent business and he did a wonderful job on our first project, a storage shed for our backyard. The price he quoted was reasonable and fair. The final price was close to the original quote. However, the project took twice as long to complete. Nevertheless, as we saw the progress of the project and the high quality of work being done, we became less concerned about the timeline of completion. We are extremely pleased with the aesthetics of our new living space. More importantly, we watched the construction of Michael's work. He was cognitive of cost, yet he never compromised on the quality and workmanship. Shortly after the job was completed, we had our HVAC technician come in to clean our furnance. The firt thing he said was, "Wow, what a beautiful floor!" Everyone that walks into our basement mentions how beautiful everything turned out. The bathroom with a full size walk-in shower looks far more expensive than it actually cost. We are extremetly pleased with Legacy Doors and More and the subcontractors that Michael hired for the plumbing and electrical work.

I dealt with Vama initially from out of state before moving into my condo, thinking based on positive reviews and my realtor being around that I could trust them to install floors properly without constant supervision. Boy, was I immensely wrong. It's been over a year, and I am still mad about my ongoing interactions with this company. Worst home services company I have dealt with in SLC. Initial problems: we showed up and were shocked to find that they hadn't bothered re-attaching any of our base boards, many of which they broke. Our garage was full of trash from the install, such that I couldn't park until they agreed to send someone back to clean up. Trash was left in our bathroom. Floor boards were installed crookedly and in some cases IN THE WRONG ROOMS. They put floor in our bathrooms where we didn't ask for it and didn't put floor in our closets where we had requested. Disaster. My first priority was getting the base boards dealt with. Sam initially claimed that it's normal for them to break base boards but when I pointed out that even their install guy admitted TO ME that he had done a particularly bad job because he was rushing to head to California (wtf), Sam did send me 400 to partly cover the expense of the handyman we had come make new base boards, as many of ours throughout the house were unsalvageable. But this took so much wrangling to finally have base boards and floors installed in our closet, that I didn't fight with them about re-installing flooring that looked like it was cut by someone who didn't know how to use a saw to cut in a straight line (again, see the pictures). That was my mistake. Fast forward over a year and floor is coming unattached so I finally reach out to see if I can get the rest of these issues fixed. At this point I finally get back in touch with Vama. Saga with customer service begins again as they repeatedly ignore my calls and give me a run around claiming they will call me back, not calling me back, rinse and repeat. Sam tells me it's been over a year and so this is damage caused by me. I ask how I could have caused my floors to be installed in wavy lines and get no answer. Great. I manage to waste a bunch of time trying to communicate with these people until they ghost again. So, here is this long overdue review. Do not do business with this company unless you want floors that look like what you see in these photos. Photo 1: Floor board with non-trivial chunk missing from the corner that was installed on the stairs Photo 2: Noticeably large wavy gap between edge of closet metal track and floor board. Photo 3: Roughly inch gap where they just didn't bother finding a piece that actually would fit to cover the whole ground of our closet. Absolutely wildly bad craftsmanship there. Photo 4: Again, board cut and installed in a wavy line next to our closet. Precision? Never heard of it. Moving the sprinkler system into the yard ended up being the biggest challenge of this project-trying to find the lines that went under the side walk so they could be rerouted was like looking for a needle in a haystack. But three days of work and the mow strip looks amazing and we didn't have to break our backs getting this all done by ourselves.
