We…read morewere met by a friendly and smiling front of house, who told us we didn't have to pay for parking, then asked us if we wanted to upgrade our rooms we declined politely, and we were then led to two separate bedrooms (204 and 203), both of which were light, spacious and perfectly adequate for a base for exploring Warwick and Kenilworth. One of the great advantages to this hotel was that our two rooms were connected by a beautiful, deliciously decorated communal lounge leather sofas, glass roof, flat screen tv, all decorated sumptuously in crimson and gold. After some exploration of Kenilworth, we all really enjoyed relaxing in this room with a bottle of wine and some music on the television. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were only too happy to accommodate some of our slightly fussy requests (I wanted beans with my full breakfast, which didn't come as standard but they were only too happy to get it for me, and they also accommodated my friend who wanted a sausage sandwich, not the egg or bacon sandwich as advertised on the menu). Yes, the hotel is a townhouse, and a little old and faded, but the value for money makes this absolutely one of the best hotels I have stayed in. So nice to go to a place far from home, and still feel like home.

We were in Kenilworth for a friend's birthday party and we couldn't have wished for a more home-from-home experience. Liz (the owner) greeted us when we arrived and made us feel very at ease when we explained we were in Kenilworth for a friend's party and wanted to know if the front door would be locked at a certain time. She assured us we could come and go as we pleased and come in as late as we wanted! This made for a really relaxed and assured stay. Rooms are really reasonably priced with a double or twin - £55 and a single - £36; both including a tasty cooked breakfast with locally sourced sausages and bacon (all cooked admirably by Derek, Liz's husband!). We enjoyed breakfast in the bright, traditional dining room and it set us up nicely for a day exploring Kenilworth until lunching later with friends. Authentic, warm, welcoming and within walking distance to town. You couldn't wish for anymore from a good ole British B&B!

It is only a three mile Uber or bus ride to the university and there are quite a few nearby restaurants. A major complaint is serious lack of outlets in the room, and none near the bed. The walls in the hallway look terrible and needed repainting a long time ago. I had a light dinner (Mezze plane) in the restaurant and it was not very good.

If you are a runner, there are prenty of great joggin paths (You may want to run by the castle...great XC course!) This location is very convinient to visit the old castle, downtown kenilworth, or even Coventry (I'm glad we didn't stay in Coventry...people warned us about it, and my colleague wasn't too happy with the Holiday inn express there...) I didn't care for Starbucks, but oh well, it's convinient. Good wifi connection, TV was brand new flat screen. Cofee maker and free frat bread (yeehaa) Front desk was hit and miss - one guy was SUPER nice, drawing map and telling us where to go, etc. The other lady was...well, kinda lame. Compare to the "original (reads as USA)" Holiday inn, this location is probably better in many ways, good service and very updated rooms.

The guy on reception had a very good check in patter, which I am not sure was just for my amusement or his! The room was decent they do offer upgrades to the upper deck where you get access to sky movies and sports. This was of no interest to me as I was only there to sleep. The room I had was of a good standard, clean and tidy, I was on the first floor with a view of a flat roof!! The staff in the hotel were very helpful and I do believe whatever request you may have they will endeavour to accommodate it. Hence I have given the hotel a 4 star rating. The bar does resemble one you would find in a night club and it was quite loud, the drinks weren't night club priced which was good. From the posters in the bar they do have specific events throughout the year some are comedy some are tribute bands. They have a good pool and gym in the hotel so if you want a dip in the morning it is more then adequate for that purpose, they also have an onside gym which was of a decent standard. There was a wedding party there on the Saturday night which is to be expect at a hotel the wedding party was one of the better behaved ones I have witnessed however when I went up to my room I could hear the music as if I was in the party!!! This did keep me awake for a bit but I think it all stopped around the 1am mark. The breakfast was the standard fare of fried food cereal and fruit, I cannot comment on the standard of the rest of their food menu as I never sampled it. If you are in Coventry and need somewhere to stay you could do worse than here.

The service at the hotel was super friendly and quick to help when ever needed. The room was really nice and clean upon arrival. The pub and restaurant had super good food as well ( tip: if you eat in the pub you need to order the pizza. Not what I expected but it was one of the better pizzas I have had in awhile.) overall my stay here was perfect and I will be staying here again if I am in the area.

They were very busy at 4 pm. I had a Guinness and a slice besides steak and ale pie. It was delicious. The wait staff were friendly. Great atmosphere. Families and friends sharing meals. Very dog friendly with small and large water bowls and biscuit treats for four legged companions. Definitely worth a stop

Radcliffe was the second to be given the up date treatment. This included the updating and complete change of the entrance/reception area. The update has provided a much brighter entrance and one more suited to the times we find ourselves in. The bedrooms, well the ones I have stayed in, have had a freshen up but somehow I think the bath rooms didn't get the full make over treatment, more like a spruce up. The food is ok but if you are staying here for business then it will do the job. The staff are all very helpful and do there best to help you when you need it. There is wifi throughout the venue. The bigger meeting rooms have all the tech you would expect. There are many different size meeting rooms available and I am sure you can find one to suit your needs.

We arrived from the US before the check-in time but they were able to get our rooms ready within an hour so we could take a much needed nap. I stayed in a king room and it was huge! My mom and sister shared a double twin room which was quite small so if you want space, I recommend the King room. The outside patio was beautiful and quiet. I loved having my coffee outside each morning. We had breakfast each morning in their restaurant and it was delicious. The location was perfect and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go.

My impression (based on the upscale appearance of the lobby) was that there was bellman service available to assist with luggage, however that was not the case. There was a wedding reception in progress when we checked in on Sunday afternoon so wait staff was scattered around and easy to find. We had a bite to eat in their small indoor cafe for dinner since the outdoor deck tables were being utilized by wedding guests and we weren't familiar with the area. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was very spacious. Unfortunately the small refrigerator in our room was NOT working. The next morning we went back to the cafe for brunch (it was approximately 10:30am) and there were NO servers anywhere! I waited approximately 15 min and I even walked over to the Lobby to ask for assistance. I was shocked and disappointed by this lack of standard customer service! We eventually got served but the menu for brunch didn't exactly contain a wide or balanced assortment. My husband realized he left a small metal iPhone stand on the table after he finished eating, but when he spoke to the lobby staff when we checked out, they said no one turned it in. We did not have time to utilize the spa or swimming pool or gym equipment, so I can't attest to the quality of those amenities.
