I don't expect a proprietor of a business to bend over backwards or do the whole 'the customer is always right' routine. But I do expect them to be reasonable and fair. Anything short of that and I will never deal with them again.
I frequent many businesses in San Pedro and this morning I was on 6th st at the farmer's market. I walked around the outside sidewalk, because I had my dog with me and he's not allowed at the market.
I wanted to buy some pita bread and tied my dog in front of this gallery. If you look at the picture, he was tied to the right of the door, behind a big sandwich board. He was not in the way and nobody would even get close to him, unless they went out of their way. I walked to the vendor, bought the bread and walked back (5 min. max) and this guy comes out, telling me to immediately take my dog off his property. I said, I'm doing that right now. He tells me that this is commercial property and he doesn't want dogs around, because the last thing he needs is having someone bitten by a dog.
He stomps back into his gallery and while I'm still untying my dog, his dog comes charging out of the gallery, trying to attack my dog. Yep, you read it correctly: He tells me that he doesn't allow dogs on his property, but he has a dog, with leash trailing, that runs around in his shop.
I yell at his dog and he comes back out and yells at me to 'get out! Get off my property!"
This is the kind of person, that doesn't understand fairness or reasonableness. And that's the kind of person I would never do any kind of business with, because he will never look at things in a reasonable and honest way. It's his way or the highway.
