When confronted for their extremely over oiled lanes, oiled to the point where it was physically impossible to get any spin on the ball, the staff stated that the lanes were so oily because they where just oiled today. This is not an excuse. Lanes being freshly oiled should not be this slippery. The balls were so gross that they could not even be held. Multiple people in our group and on the lanes around us dropped the balls on their approach even when held perfectly. DONT COME HERE!

We got the 2 hr of activities/1 game of bowling wristband. It was well worth it. This place is very fun! We played a game of bowling, drove the go karts, played a round of mini golf, and played some arcade games. We also both got a cheeseburger and fries, soda, and I got a beer. I will review each activity below. Electric Go karts: This was by far both of our favorite attraction. It's so much fun to fly around the track, and that fact that it's completely indoors makes it even better. Mini Golf: This Mini golf course is small, a bit cramped, and doesn't have the fun effects that other courses have. However, I love the blacklight effect and the circus theme is VERY cute. That being said, both the paint and the carpet could use a slight touch up. I wouldn't pay for the Mini golf separately, but if you have the wristband it's worth one play. Bowling: the lanes were cool (they had a blacklight effect as well) and while we didn't do that well, both my husband and I had fun bowling again. As far as the food goes, we both agreed that the cheeseburgers were actually really good. I had a bottled Budweiser, but they also had a few tap selections as well. They have a TON of awesome arcade games as well. We played the basketball games, skeeball, the electronic bowling game and many more. They also have several activities we didn't try: The "Ninja" obstacle course, the bumper cars, and a trampoline like jumping attraction. If you are a parent looking for a cool place to host a birthday party, they have a decent sized private party room as well. Overall, I give Strikes and Spares 10/10. We both recommend it and are considering coming back on future date nights.

It has a game room and one prize is a crockpot so adults and children should play. Had a Jack and Coke, average. The food gets good reviews but we didn't eat. The people there seemed friendly and like regulars. We didn't bowl as we were there to support and no open lines. They had clever names for lots of things and areas. Punny names which was fun and clever. So clean, friendly, booze, and a sense of humor. The only big downside is size but I don't know how popular the place is overall and while booked solid tonight that was due to league.

Most small town bowling centers I have been to, are a trip back in time. Likewise, the bathrooms really smell bad, or there is the lingering ghost like smell of cigarettes past. So when I visited the Wawasee Bowl last month, this was what I was expecting to encounter. However, when I walked into the place I was really amazed. My friend Jenny told me the bowling center had been completely renovated over the past year, and it looks very bright and fantastic to say the least. The automatic scoring has been replaced, and the lanes were completely redone. Sadly, I didn't have a chance to bowl at Wawasee, but I can tell you the food is excellent! When one thinks of the culinary offerings at a bowling center, greasy burgers, pizza, french fries, and heartburn all come to mind. In fact, I was feeling apprehensive since I didn't bring any Alka-Seltzer with me. So I decided that since it was Friday, I would try their fish fry, and I was very happy that I did, as it was very good! Jenny, told me that the Wawasee Bowl also serves up some great lunch specials. The next time I go to northern Indiana, I plan stopping in and trying them. The only reason I didn't give this review a 5, is because I didn't bowl why I was there. With that said, next time I will bring my ball and shoes with me. This place is what every small town bowling center should strive to be.

They're one of the few places in Fort Wayne that have laser tag, Nerf war, virtual reality games. It definitely is not cheap, but they have a lot more to offer than Chuck E. Cheese and is geared toward older kids. I'm happy to say that the management made it right last time because kids in our party we're being harassed by older kids on their own team as they were shooting them in the head with the Nerf gun. I find that this is unacceptable and if I would've known, I definitely would've spoken with the parents. My son raised his voice and told the game master who didn't do anything about it. I spoke with the manager later and he told me that he would speak with his staff and also gave us some game points to make up for the trouble. I hope they continue to enforce the rules because part of the reason people come to these places is they have fun not to get into conflict with people and their delinquent behavior.

There were plenty of open lanes, I had a great selection of shoes and there was so little noise you could literally hear a pin drop. My only complaint is that the place seemed understaffed and there really wasn't enough light in the building to see my ball roll down the lane. I felt very safe when I looked around the building and saw not just 1 but nearly 20 police officers on duty protecting us from the various threats of Columbia City like rioting, street gangs, Isis, and many others. After our second game, we saw what we thought was the mystery machine from scooby doo pull up outside. But instead of a couple of awkward teenagers and a talking dog, a bunch of black storm troopers hopped out of the back. I kind of like Star Wars so I wasn't really complaining. It was kind of cool to see the reenactments in person and I'm really surprised the bowling alley of such low, fair price could afford a Star Wars reenactment right before the big premier of the new movie this year. The performance even ended with a life sized R2D2 that actually roamed around on its own! SO COOL! Overall my experience was something I'll never forget. I've never had so much fun on a memorial Monday before! 5/5!

Over the past few years, the owners of the White Pigeon Bowl have been gradually modernizing their facility. While the above lane ball returns were manufactured by Brunswick in the early-to-mid 1950s, the rest of the equipment has been completely brought up to 21st Century standards. They have AMF synthetic lanes, and 82-70 automatic pinspotters that were recently upgraded to 82-90 standards.
