The incident you referenced occurred during an open mat session in 2018. At the time, I was training under the supervision of one of your coaches, who explicitly asked me not to throw punches so I could work on my defense. I followed that instruction. The training was light, controlled, and respectful. Your later claim that I was recklessly sparring with brand-new students is inaccurate, and to my knowledge, no such concern was raised until you confronted me aggressively and physically escalated the situation. As I described in my review, you grabbed my shirt, followed me into the locker room, and shoved me into the lockers. You then followed me into the parking lot while still in gear. That was not professional or necessary. In my view, it was less about safety and more about control -- and when I didn't back down, it seemed to bruise your massive ego. Regarding the private lessons: I paid you personally for a package, and the sessions were not completed. That's a fact. Whether or not I submitted a formal refund request is irrelevant -- I paid for a service that was not fully delivered. You've now made public accusations that I submitted fake reviews, used vulgar language, and harassed you over several years. I unequivocally deny these claims. They are completely false. Trainers are great and they help give you that extra jolt to finish your workout in 30 mins. Yes, you can burn up to over 300 cals in a single workout which is amazing. You can even repeat rounds or the whole round to your hearts content if you want to get an extra cal burn. You get to see your heart rate jump with their pulse tracker during your session. Oh, best thing, there are no class times! You go in once they are open and you have up to 30 mins before they close to get started on your workout. I honestly think that's the best thing for parents that can't commit to a class time and have busy lives or people with busy schedules in general. Thanks 9 round family for the warm welcome. His brand of "Strike-Based" Jiujitsu, by name alone drew me to seek him out over all other jiujitsu schools in the Inland Empire, as it emphasizes that jiujitsu is first and formost a Self-Defense art. With respect to his academy, I am pleased that there is a respectful attitude amongst his students exhibited to eachother and extended to new sign-ups like myself, there are virtually no ego's displayed or felt during live rolls, and the mats and facilities are up kept and cleaned daily.
