We kind of came across this place by accident looking for a boutique that we were going to go check out. As it happened, the boutique, was actually located in one of the booths at the antique mall. This place was massive, with three floors to explore. Booths on the lower floor are very clearly marked, and kind of cool, they have some locked glass cabinets that have items that would be considered a little more rare. Really, a ton of stuff that we both liked looking at while we were here. As we expanded the search upstairs, it didn't feel quite as structured as the lower floor, but all items have a sticker with a booth number, so if you are questioning what booth it came from you can figure it out pretty easily (this may be of importance if you think an item came from a booth that is running a sale). The staff were friendly and helpful and let us store some stuff on the front counters while we continued exploring. Only reason for a deduct on the review rating, the AC was virtually non-functional on the top two floors - It was was too warm up there. Otherwise, this place is really pretty awesome!

I visited the Gardendale Flea Mall today and at first glance it looked slightly thrown-together…read more However in all fairness, I think the issue is poor lighting, which is an easy fix for the small store. Each booth is chock full of different collectibles and I think the prices are reasonable for the items I looked at. I also spoke with the two Cashiers when I paid for my purchase and they were friendly. The store is air conditioned, pet friendly, and there are plenty of parking spaces located in front of the store and at the side of the building. I hope to stop by again the next time I'm in the vicinity, because I didn't have time to walk downstairs to checkout the collectibles in the basement.

So I started my search knowing that I only had so much free time that particular day, and I am thrilled to say I found what I was hoping to find and I made my purchase quickly. The second visit was just as productive and I found another treasure of personal value. Now, I wasn't looking for junk on either of my searches and I didn't see any junk. I do not recommend bringing your dog though. they do not have any water fountains there besides what you can buy on the premises and there are other animals being sold as well. so unless you bring fresh water and have your dog up to shots it's best to leave Fido at home. My husband asked if we could go before it turns cold, so I booked a hotel in Gadsden and we had a wonderful overnight trip. Love Collinsville Trade Day flea market as there is always something for everyone. We walked to the top of the hill where the live animals are sold and made our way down and around the isles. We weren't shopping for anything in particular but got some good deals. It was a perfect cool/breezy/sunny October day which made it even better! Alabama is a lovely state! We will return and hopefully before 5 years pass! Get there early because people start packing up before noon.

If the drive is less than two hours for you, it's definitely worth it. They honestly have everything from cribs to coffins. In fact, that's actually one of their catchphrases. When you pull up, don't resist the urge to turn around. Go ahead and pay the $1 to park. As you get out of your car in the grass parking lot, you'll be looking at what can only be described as a shanty town... at best. It's what you'll find in these shanties that makes this place special. Are you looking for a goat? Maybe a new shirt, some advil, a poster, a bike, a remote control car, a remote control, some jelly, a loaf of bread, chainsaw oil, a pig, or a book on how to speak pig Latin? This is your place. However, Lesia pulled the item for another person that commented 3 minutes after I commented. I sent Lesia screenshots showing that I commented first, no response. I posted the screenshot and tagged Lesia in it, no response. Lesia was active on the page, so I know she saw my posts, just chose to take no accountability for her mistake and ignored me. Very unprofessional. Lesia made a post in the group "it's a great day to shop at the pickers choice" so I commented on that post and said that I would love to shop the pickers choice when I come to pick up the item I claimed, but you chose to give it to someone else. I messaged the page as well, and they called me a bully. I guess I'm done shopping here!
