I purchased a great chandelier made of tin, and ropes and it is rectangular in size and is over the dining table in my lake house. It's homemade and the first time I saw it I knew that I was going too buy it for my house. I was rebuilding it and the decorator who is really good but too expensive for my taste said that I would be making a mistake to buy it but I didn't listen to her because I have got taste of my own and it is great too. Now it's the first thing that everyone comments on! Where did I get it and that's the best thing that they have ever seen. Well I tell them to go to Guntersville and shop at Kings Row Antiques.

I love King's Row. They have some beautiful, quality, antique furniture that is very reasonably…read morepriced. They also have new custom made wood furniture and jewelry. I always find something to buy in there. Last time it was 6 antique crystal glasses I know I got cheaper than if I'd gone to a department store and they are so pretty. Another time it was a used Ethan Allen buffet which only needed a polish. Not that anything is dusty in there. Another thing I like is that it's not packed with stuff where you can hardly walk or see the treasures. He walked away and said, "well, she didn't have any manners!" I left immediately. I was shopping for furniture not insults. You may need to reassess your own manners and also remind yourself that you work in an antique store in Alabama. You're not saving lives.

My fiancé and I were at a loss trying to find gifts to give our parents when we get married next…read moreweek. We were looking for something original that actually had some thought put behind it. Everywhere we went, things looked the same or it was over priced. We stopped in to Hartlex, thinking it would probably be just furniture but we were desperate. This has now become our official shopping place for gifts. It's not just antique furniture (which were all STUNNING by the way), but decanters, beautiful wall art, jewelry, bed and bath items, lighting, crystal...SO MUCH. We were there for hours and enjoyed every minute of it. We ended up leaving with some things for ourselves too. The owners are hilarious and very personable which made the experience even better. 10/10 would recommend.
