It has been almost a year and my rating has not changed. The former manager actually found out this was my review right afterwards and called me defending herself. However, since this review, we are now under new management and things have pretty much remained the same.
The only positive change since my original review is that we have received new washers and dryers. The bad part is that the cost has now gone up to $4.50.
Other notes since my last review:
Parking: since the new management change we have received 3 emails about no parking in front of buildings by the fire zones or else those cars will be towed. Wanna guess how many cars have been towed? You guessed it! ZERO. Because, like my original review, they don't enforce the rules, residents know this and continue to take advantage of it.
Updates to the pool: they recently renovated the pool. Some were necessary, some were not, and some are a real inconvenience and annoyance for residents who live around the pool. They added lights inside the pool and around the pool/fence. The lights are so bright, it lights up your apartment at night and for what? To look pretty? The pool closes by sunset. Again, lindy spends money on pointless stuff, raises our rent every year, but when we need things done in the apartment, they will try and find a way out of doing it.
Inspections: now this one is not lindy's fault, but does add to my reasons not to live here. The township recently enacted some ordinance? (I don't know the proper vocabulary) where they will inspect every apartment in the township for safety related things and if they find an issue, the owner/company will be fined. Who's going to pay for this fine? Lindy residents.
In all, my review and ratings remain the same: if you can afford to go elsewhere... go!
*Lindy: the name of the company who runs everything and that you pay your rent to.
P.S. The review that complimented mine is correct about packages being stolen and delivered to wrong buildings. I now get my packages delivered to a relative's house because this keeps happening and all lindy will tell you to do is to check the other (18!) buildings. read more
