It felt like I somehow I knew them for years. Great atmosphere, and they did a great job on Greg. He had some matted hair and a full beard, but I didn't hear a single peep about how that made their job harder, they asked after how he was doing, telling he looked so much better with the new style, and that they hoped for the best for him. Honestly one of the most heart warming experiences from a business and I'm really grateful to them for showing so much love to someone who has been neglected from it too much in his life. Greg was the one who insisted on going to this place, and now I see why. Will be recommending this place moving forward. Good people here. Thank you for everything.

Haircut: 3/5 Time: 4/5…read moreValue: 2/5 Communication: 4/5 Haircut: The haircut was a low-cut fade with half the length of hair I started with on the top. The fade and hairlines were very well done and symmetrical. A problem with a lot of barbers in the area is that they have the tendency to slant my hairlines but my barber constantly checked against the mirror to ensure that didn't happen. My main issue with the cut is that the top of my hair was not leveled properly, there was very noticeable loose ends on the top of my hair that I had to fix up at home. If he used a scissor for that patch of hair the haircut would have been perfect but he didn't use scissors, instead he tried to hover the clipper over my head. For the price, to miss something like that is fairly unacceptable but more on value below. Time: To get a fade to look as clean as possible I prefer my barber to take his time and that's exactly what he did. He made sure the fade was even on both sides and kept the length exactly as I asked. He would occasionally get side-tracked on his phone but it wasn't for long. Value: The cut was $25 which is pretty high when you consider that he left the top of my head uneven and with very noticeable loose ends. The thing about Rising Sun Ave is that it has a broad array of barbers of varying skill that reflect the price of their haircuts. If you go for a $5 cut, you will get a $5 cut. My $25 dollar haircut was not a $25 haircut and I will most likely not go back to this establishment for this reason alone. It's not that they cut hair horribly but they miss key details that shouldn't be missed. Communication: As he was cutting my hair he asked me various questions to make sure that I got my haircut styled the way I wanted to which is always a plus. I'm not big on small talk and he didn't attempt to ask any mundane questions like "How was your day?" so the experience was straightforward and to the point.

After that experience I have also started to take my 5 yr old there and he also felt very comfortable as the staff is extremely friendly & catering. The moment you walk in you will take notice that the place is well kept and clean. They have enough staff to keep the flow moving fairly quick as well. No matter what kind of style you are going for, I have noticed that the barbers are diverse in talent to do a great job. I personally go to Daniel but there are others in there that are very good as well. I definitely would suggest this spot to my friends and family.
