I have graduated from Warren Township High School, and I'd like to share my experience. Quick thing to know is that the school is divided into two campuses--OP for underclasses and Almond for upperclassmen. Before I get into sharing in depth experiences, I would like to share a quick thoughts. The school employes physical education teachers who are inconsiderate of medical problems and limits. I had this one teacher this year --Mr. McNamara. McNamara would install toxic expectations--grading us on the pacer test? 30 laps for the girls, 40 for the boys? Why should students risk fainting for a grade? If you did not reach the requirement, points were deducted from your grade. You might think, "oh it's just one day," well on weekly cardio days, if you did not set your treadmill to a minimum speed or increase your elevation to a set amount, your points were deducted, which over a semester adds up. McNamara also prohibited students from using the bathroom during class, claiming that if you drove to Libertyville, you would not stop to use the bathroom. Like what? If I had to use the bathroom, I would be stopping? Also, McNamara attempted to disobey school policy but not allowing me to make up physical education days--he claimed I couldn't because I "choose" not to participate. Also, Ms. Turano--another gym teacher is also highly unprofessional. She would intentionally start drama with students and deduct points for asking questions related to the in-class activity. The school allocates their time, resources, and recognition way too much towards sports. Students in sports get send offs in the hallway, but academic clubs like science olympiad, scholastic bowl, AVANZA Chicano Bowl, and FBLA don't. You might think; "those clubs are not a sport," but those clubs demand hard work and hours of preparation. Also, the school utilizes AI, but they punish students for using it? Once had a Spanish teacher teach us about the environment and nature and used AI images in her presentation--very hypocritical. She was openly telling us she used AI. When I called her out for it, she called me annoying in front of the whole class. Now, I'd like to say that the school administration, deans, and workers from student services did not prioritize student needs and lacked the skills to engage and listen to students. One time here, I was falsely accused of academic dishonesty--canvas logs allegedly showed me accessing questions beforehand and proceeding to complete the test ahead of the allocated time. While it was true that I accidentally entered the test, upon seeing this, the canvas tab was immediately closed out off and no questions were ever seen. The dean stated that the logs showed the test was open for ten minutes--however, the way canvas works is that once you open something a timer starts, which is why when I finished my test in class the timer showed 50 minutes when I took around 15 minutes. I revealed this during the conference I had, except no one was willing to listen--they prioritized the reputation of the first year teacher-- Mr. Greenberg, Business Law Teacher who filed an academic dishonesty report against me. Now, the school administration and board were incompetent. They failed to plan accordingly for harsh, winter temperatures and road conditions. They claimed there is a set number of days that classes were required to be held--per the state requirement. Now, my question is, is the school administration aware that e-learning is an option which priorities the safety of student and staff and adheres to the state requirement? During the 2025-2026 year, dozens of members of the student body reached out to the district superintendent with concerns, but their concerns were dismissed, diminishing student voice. During the winter, one of my friends, who drove to school, also got into a crash due to ice. The school also failed to deliver adequate consequences for disruptive students. During one of my classes, a student started a verbal altercation with me that resulted in the teacher calling security. I was later told that me and the fellow student would be attending a meeting to clarify the situation and have the chance to say remarks. However, this never occurred. Some teachers that I personally had were horrible--Mr. Longo, who failed to answer my questions and told me to figure it out myself. He was the one who believed his "independent learning style" worked on everyone. Ms. Delzotti and Ms. Vranek--who were downright disrespectful towards me and my friends and were biased in their NHS decisions. Ms. Fischetti--who yelled about eugenics at seven in the morning. One last thing, special shoutout to Mr. Bruno and Mr. Zaban, who are actually best friends. They deserve the world and a bonus. Both were patient, knowledgeable, actually cared about their students and would ask about their day and were overall very happy and passionate to be teaching. read more

Mrs. Anna Vitale did not teach a full curriculum and ignored countless necessary and important parts of information. Many areas that are normally required to learn were left out and gone unacknowledged. With the prior knowledge and understanding I already had while I was taking one of her classes, I became very surprised, in a negative way, when so much crucial material was not addressed. I'm very unsatisfied with the incredibly light, tip-of-the-iceberg, scratching-the-surface course of study that was supposedly "taught." Very mediocre job and as an Honors class, the students deserve more in depth learning. The units listed on the syllabus were definitely not covered in full detail. Below minimum. I was so excited to re-learn certain things again, but to my dismay, they were either very watered down, or just skipped over. She specifically said "we are not going to do a whole unit on World War I." The utter audacity to deprive her students, ones she doesn't even deserve, of information regarding the essential history of our world is sickening. read more

Now that I've graduated I can give a full review. Honestly if you put in the effort and you put yourself out there it's a great school. It really is up to the student. If you want to get a good education and go off to college you can certainly do that. If you want to get involved in the drug scene then you can certainly do that as well. My only complaint is that the school does not put that much pressure on kids to go to 4 year institutions, instead they really push CLC (our community college). I never felt that much of a push from the school to apply to selective colleges and that's something I wish would change because we have all the recourses to send kids to Harvard but the school just doesn't push that enough. The teachers and support staff are wonderful. They are supportive and always willing to help a student whenever they need extra help with their classes. Students need to make more of an effort to participate in school activities. Plenty of clubs, activities and sports to join. read more

Warren township high school is great but, there is one teacher in particular. She is a reading teacher for freshmen

I see some pretty negative reviews about my school and I would have to disagree, especially about the one about Mr. Dunn. He was a wonderful teacher. The only negative thing I have to say is that the security guards don't intervene in fights. If you've done your research, I'm sure you noticed one of my schoolmates being beaten up and having his face stomped on. If I were there at the time, I would have helped because the guards just watched. But that was only a one time thing and I do love my school otherwise. read more

Horrible, no one helps you if you are having problems, I went here for a year and a half and when I didn't know where to go for gym, I went up to one of the "Hall Monitors" to ask where I was supposed to be and they ended up claiming I was skipping class and I got in trouble, th teachers are idiots, I remember one time there was a fire drill in study hall and the teacher didn't get to do attendance, so a week later the "Dean" called me to the office during math to talk and he said I wasn't marked for being present and he said that am behind on credits and have to make sure to go to every class. Let me explain, he called me down which caused me to miss math (a class that I was trying really hard to do better in) just to harass me for not being in study hall (WHICH I WAS IN BUT THE FIRE DRIL CAUSED THE TEACHER TO MISS ATTENDANCE) and in study hall all you do is work on late work so the teacher made me miss math so he could yell at me to not miss study hall when I never missed study hall and the teacher wasn't doing her job that my parents pay there tax money for them to do, I missed a lot of work cause if that and at the end of the semester, I did a bunch of missing work and I stayed after school to catch up and I ended with a 59.6% which means I failed the class because of the idiotic dean. When I missed gym for three days in a row because I didn't know where my class was and I was scared to talk to a hall monitor because I would get in huge trouble, I was called to the deans again and a truancy officer was there, a cop with a gun and pepper spray was brought to ask me why I missed three gym classes, that's just the beginning, there are so many things that I hate about this school, I came half way threw the year and there was not a single place to sit at lunch. I remember being so embarrassed to go to lunch that I just wanted to go home so bad. If your a human you will hate it here. A last and final message to any teachers reading this. "Fuck you Mr. Leach, Fuck you Mr. Dunn, Fuck you Miss Bloom Field for getting me in trouble for expressing my feelings. read more
