Ian Ward and his workforce are second to non. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a brilliant moving day.

However this year I had to reconsider as none of my friends were available to take my belongings this year. After comparing local storage unit prices I found GRG Storage and not only were their prices affordable they were also nearby and just five minutes away from my university accommodation. I decided to give them a try and leave my belongings for the summer. I have to say that I was impressed by the quality and affordable prices I was offered. Using my friends to store my stuff is good however now I can take the hassle off their shoulders just simply by using GRG Storage for summer storage solutions. It is an easy and reliable service offered at great competitive prices just minutes away from the University of Salford! I highly recommend this as my proffered storage provider for my fellow students at the University of Salford!

Originally, she lives in Nepal and needed a space to store her belongings before she could move her things into her new house in Leeds. After enquiring with a few companies, she decided to go with Ready Steady Store. When we arrived, the staff were very helpful and offered extra information to us regarding their services, some to even save her a bit of money. The storage period went smoothly and so did the collection of her things. Highly recommended.

My one drawback with Ready Steady Store is that I was swamped with so many deals (which are fantastic if you only need your storage box for a couple of months and no more), I had no idea how much I should have been paying! It is now £81 a month. I am considering moving everything as soon as possible, but I have to say that having my box for the past 6 months has been a life save! The two men in the office are ridiculously well versed in their terms and conditions, as well as having a sense of humour and being very helpful. You can rent anything from a box the size of a small locker to the size of a football pitch. When I first went, I was warned that the appearance of the halls and halls of doors to boxes is the closest thing you'll see to prison, without being locked up! Upon closer inspection, I think I agree! With eerie tinny radio pumping out, echoing around the eerily quiet corridors, I would recommend taking a friend when you go! They are open very early in the morning, all the way into the night, meaning that you are able to access your belongings easily, at some fairly unsociable hours, without worrying about your safety when most people are in bed! If you're a student in need of summer storage, this is ideal as there are available discounts. As for everyone else, it is a good way of saving space, and very good if you find yourself moving around a lot.

I certainly haven't, and even if I wasn't such a prolific magpie with mountains of things, I would still not enjoy it. The fact that I have hoards of stuff only makes this more insufferable. And so, with my recent transition to the new abode came the responsibility to find help. I don't drive, my furniture is too large and heavy a task to ask friends with small cars, and I just needed help. I asked around, and found a company through a friend, but they estimated potentially a 5+ hour job to move one bedroom's worth of things at £45/hour. Hmm, not happy about that. So I looked up 'man with a van Leeds' and came across James's site. I emailed him, assuming not to hear back for a while, and despite my request being ever so last minute, he got back to me within hours. I sent over as much detail as I could regarding the room of things, and he sent over a very reasonable estimate, which wasn't time limited - just a total for the items to be moved. We agreed a time and date, and boom - about a day later they arrived all set to move me. It was Friday evening, and even though I'd not been able to pack every last thing up, the guys made fast work of my stuff. James seems to have his system down, making note of what looks fragile, and has an order he likes to pack the van in so as to make sure nothing breaks. He also doesn't waste time - where bookshelves could be moved without unpacking, that's what he did, and so on. And they don't drag their feet either! It's always hard to estimate how long a job might take, but with their fast work, two flights of stairs (1st floor in both the old house and new), several heavy items of furniture and many little bits to be taken care of, the job was just 3 hours. They even stopped off at the new place for 10 minutes or so in case I wanted things arranging, which was lovely. (I hadn't planned at all where I wanted things, so we just moved bits with a rough idea!) He'd quoted me £80 for the job, which felt far too little for all their hard work ('Wozza' was also there, and worked extremely hard) so I offered £100. The van is absolutely gargantuan, so fear not if you've a whole house to move, and it seems as though almost any job is considered. They guys are really personable, friendly, and careful even at speed, so I'd highly recommend giving them a shout. I still have some left over things, so as and when I need to move those I know who I'm calling. Definitely give them a shout if you've a move coming up, if at least to get a reasonable and competitive quote to consider.
