Yes, it's time for my third update. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I cannot thank this patient…read morestaff enough. Every single time, they bring on extreme patience, compassion, and smiles in setting fraught with anxiety: children's dentistry. My youngest son recently completed some intense dental work that he needed, which went beautifully the first visit and more difficult the second visit. The entire time I cringed internally and was so impressed with how wonderfully the staff members spoke with my child. By the third visit, my son was more wiser to what was going to happen and after attempting the original plan just did not work, the awesomely kind and wonderful dentist gave me some different options for how to proceed. I chose a middle ground and we went for it, and they powered through some difficult moments, but I felt very confident in knowing that my child was not actually being hurt. It is not easy to watch your child struggle and cry, but my trust in these people is very high. And it worked! After a few tense minutes, the work was done and my son sat up and immediately wanted to play video games. Yes, they have a side room inside the office where kids can play old school nintendo, and my kids luckily mostly identify their visits with getting to play video games, and the treat they get on the way out. The also always awesome front desk staff explained on our way out that we should consider coming in not during an appointment, especially after halloween, to let the office buy back my kids halloween candy, and experience the office when they don't have to get dental work done. Brilliant! So glad she mentioned this. THANK YOU!

Kaitlyn did an amazing job! Everyone there was so nice, everything was described very well, and they were very professional! Also, I have been to a couple dentists lately, who have tried to oversell me on work to be done (i.e. scaling and an additional crown), where the experience felt like I was buying a car from a pushy dealership. They DID NOT do that at all at Lighthouse Dental. Dr. Cassandra was very straight forward and honest about my needs, and made me feel comfortable about whatever I decided. I'll write another review after I get my crown next week! I definitely recommend Lighthouse Dental of Tequesta.

This practice is a "No Go" from the moment you walk in. I was interested in finding a new dentist…read morefor my cleanings ( annual )and didn't want to drive down to North Palm Beach to my dental surgeons office. Anyway, I was greeted by a young girl who had a septum ring? (Just off the charts unprofessional in every single way possible) that look is for Baristas only. I asked her if they were taking new patients? The answer was yes! Can I see your insurance card? My insurance is through a California company I work for..couldn't find the right card. Anyway, I asked if I could pay cash? Was told it's $380 for a cleaning. Then I was referred to the annual practice insurance that provides two cleanings for $300. Very confused communication if you ask me. I then proceeded to ask for an appointment at the end of October? Was told there are no appointments then but there is an appointment for this Wednesday. Wow! I cannot account this Wednesday are there other dates? Her answer was not until March of 2027? So I guess you're not actually taking new patients at all. Unless there's a cancellation. That's a business model flaw and leads me to believe that you're just a number to them. A hard pass on this practice! The state of an American dentistry is definitely going down.

The only thing above expectations would be the waiting times. In an office that is seldom if ever full with multiple empty chairs you still end up waiting at least 45 past appointment time. I'm not sure if the doctor is having financial issues but it is generally customary to be billed AFTER services rendered. Unfortunately in this office things work backwards- when the secretary Amy could not figure out how to update our insurance information (or was too lazy to do her job) Dr. Barredo basically held my wife & child ransom and demanded immediate payment. Mind you she is an IN NETWORK PROVIDER FOR OUR INSURANCE company which includes 2 basic cleanings & X-Rays as part of plan. This was over a month ago! The following day when I informed incompetent Amy that she is an in network provider I was told that the doctor had to wait for the insurance companies check to clear prior to reimbursing me?!?! I have never felt so disrespected or taken advantage of as a customer. I plan on pursuing with insurance company and making them aware of what one of their providers is doing to good paying customers. Whom still have not been reimbursed - 1 month later because the doctor has not been paid. Buyer beware- I would not want anyone in dire financial straits working on my mouth. No telling how many false billable issues they can invent and demand payment. No wonder the office is always empty:( Cannot wait to take my families business elsewhere.
