When you call , there is only one option , to be on hold . They should have different options , first of all there should be 3 lines to choose from one for each provider. There should be lines to address med refills . Once you call you are on hold forever , they don't call back and it's very frustrating.

The staff member who initially gathered my information was absolutely wonderful. He was kind, patient, and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. My provider, Marilee Kuulei Owens, FNP, was exceptional. She took the time to sit with me, talk with me, and truly listen. I never once felt dismissed or rushed, and I deeply appreciated that she did not immediately attribute all of my concerns solely to my weight - something that can unfortunately happen far too often. Instead, she asked thoughtful questions, listened carefully, and answered every question I had with care and respect. My first visit was an incredibly positive experience. Two weeks later, I returned for my well-woman visit, something that gives me a great deal of anxiety. Ms. Owens was amazing at helping to ease that anxiety the best she could and the nurse who assisted during the appointment was equally kind, gentle, and reassuring. The entire experience was handled with such compassion and professionalism that I honestly couldn't imagine having wanted anyone else. I'm excited to have Ms. Owens as my primary care provider moving forward. I drive all the way from Pearl City to Kailua, and I have absolutely no regrets. I'm very grateful to be under the care of Tradewinds Family Medical Center and highly recommend them so far!

They have been very careful and practice safe Covid measures so no worries there! They are also very high tech so telehealth calls/videos/record keeping are not a problem. Overall a great experience and I thank him and the staff at Kailua for being on my care team! I wanted to provide a review of my recent two experiences at the Kailua Straub Clinic because when reading the negative reviews on here, it was not the same experience that I encountered. The staff at the front and in the back were wonderful, patient, kind, and caring. I also thought it was great that their lab has saturday open hours which is very helpful if you don't have time during a weekday to complete lab work! Another plus is parking is convenient and plenty either in their plaza or nearby.

It's walking distance from my work, and I wouldn't have to take over an hour of time off for round-trip transportation into town for PT. Granted, there are physical therapists right in my office building, but my doc from Straub recommended his own PT...and since the PT specialist had attended my doctor's appointment, I felt like he was the best option. At any rate, the Kailua Family Health Center, where the Straub PT is located, is a bright, cheery office located above Red Bamboo and other retail stores right in the heart of Kailua Town. It's been very peaceful and quiet every time I was there for PT, and all of the front desk ladies were so nice and friendly It's clean, clean, clean, and did I mention convenient? I don't have a lot of doctors who practice at Straub, but if you do and live on the Windward side, see if you can get your services taken care of at this place!

She ALWAYS takes the time to address all my health concerns. She knows me so well, she saved my life. Just by touch, she discovered a tumor which turned out to be cancerous. As I was going through all my surgery, radiation, and chemo, she took the time out of her busy schedule to send me a card letting me know she was thinking of me and keeping up with my progress. That's how caring she is! The downside to being as great as she is, is that she's very much in demand. I don't think she's taking new patients at the moment. Straub is extremely blessed to have Dr. Taba on their medical team. She is such a great asset to Hawaii Pacific Health. More importantly, I am extremely blessed to have her as my PCP!

Booked 6 months or more out. They will not squeeze you in. If you call about an urgent matter they try to squeeze in other follow ups with that appointment to make money. Theyre quick to prescribe medication without solving problems. They do not care about quality of care but rather the number of patients they see. You will also always wait for more than a hour after your scheduled appointment. After 20 years im moving doctors.
