I came here because the Daylight Donuts in Jarrell is phenomenal! In Jarrell they are light and fluffy, fresh. The ones today from this Daylight in Gainesville are dried up like day old donuts. It tasted like thin shoe leather with no taste. The apricot filling was thin and tasted light or chemical and watered down filling that barely tasted of apricots. My husband, who is not German, (and without knowing my opinion) said it tasted like China got hold of the apricots and infused chemicals. I have tasted better everywhere from local bakeries to festivals that aren't even German. It was a chemical, watered down apricot filling with thin shoe leather like crust.
