In the children's section, there was was a large display of New Zealand themed kids books - great for gifts/souvenirs. There were also stationary items (notebooks, journals, calendars, pens, etc.) as well as art/craft supplies (paints, brushes, colored pencils, colored markers, etc.) There were also quite a number of toys (stuffies, figurines, kits, etc.) to tempt the kids. In a time where brick and mortar book stores are disappearing, it was nice to spend some time wandering through the books here. Very pleasant service (as usual). Prices were a bit on the high side, however.

While I normally steer clear of "souvenir shops" as the merchandise is usually just junk, this one was different as they carried a wide range of jade and paua ( the pearlized shells) made into costime jewelery that was of the same caliber as other shops in town, but with a more reasonable price. Service was spot on, too, as the woman helping me went out of her way to find me just the piece I was looking for. She also was helpful to convert my US ring size to the sizing they use here. It may not be for everyone, but I was able to get a couple of things at a reasonable price to take back home with me. And that was exactly what I was looking for!

Wow, the most amazing service from Rebecca and the team at Trail Journeys. I rang up to enquire…read moreabout renting bikes and the shuttle for the Dunstan Lake trail from Cromwell to Clyde, for the next morning. Rebecca was all positive, despite having a full booking load (xmas holiday season), and managed to accommodate us. The ebikes we rented were very good quality, one of the best we've rented so far on our travels. The staff were good at kitting us out, and the shuttle to the start in Cromwell was clean and the van driven safely. Best of all? Their prices are really competitive. NZD$99 for a whole day ebike rental, plus one-way shuttle. Anyone doing the Lake Dunstan cycle trail, I highly recommend checking out Trail Journeys. Their website is a bit difficult to use, so just call their Clyde office and hopefully you'll get Rebecca helping you out.
