Our site had no wi-fi at all, even though it was advertised as having it. The Wi-fi is not supplied by the RV park/marina, but by some guy that lives in a house boat at the marina. Then to find out the Wi-fi is not free but was rated by cost on a slide scale starting at $15.00. Even if we would have paid for Wi-Fi, our RV spot was in a dead zone! My next complaint is the noise from the sea planes landing and taking off right over the park every 15 to 20 mins all day, every day, was unbearably annoying! They start at 7 am.so you couldn't sleep in due to the noise! The water pressure is over 100 PSI and a reducer is required. The sites are not well thought out and narrow. parking for your tow car is a challenge. The cable TV was a joke! The cable tv connection was about 25 ft from the electrical connection. The cable wires were just layer on the ground and run from site to site. We heard the sea planes talking to the harbor control tower over the TV each time a plane takes off, the TV picture got screwed up with all white snow! Picture quality was poor with limited channels. The park is about 90% gravel with little to no grass. There is no place to walk your dog. This is not a pet friendly park. We will never stay at west bay RV park in Victoria against and will not recommend it to anyone.

The place was accommodating, and we had a really nice trip. However, on the morning we checked out, around 8 AM, three of the owners showed up at our door demanding that we pay for our stay. I asked if I could pay after we checked out, and they started cursing at me and threatening me in front of my son. I promptly paid, and the three of them calmed down very quickly. I later found out that a different campsite, not ours, had not paid. While that is unfortunate, taking that anger out on my family was completely unacceptable. I do want to say that our stay was pretty amazing up until this point. They were very accommodating, including helping us with fresh towels. Sadly, this incident at the end was absurd and really ruined the experience.

Featuring 25 full hookup sites, each professionally landscaped and with its own picnic table, the sites here are large, level, and you don't feel like you're right on top of your neighbors. Most of the sites were back-in, but there are a few pull-through sites too. The on-site bathroom is not only one of the nicest campground restrooms I've ever visited, it's one the nicest restrooms I've ever visited in general. There's also a small coin-op laundry area, utility sink, and even a water bottle filling area inside. The park was clean and quiet during our two night visit. It's also just a few minutes walk (or a level bike ride) to several restaurants and grocery stores. We will definitely be adding this to our regular weekend getaway rotation! I definitely recommend getting a reservation, as the park appeared completely full this weekend.

We would've preferred to be in a more secluded back in site, but no complaints. They have a nice laundry area and a nice game area in the central part of the park. The park is well maintained and staff are very flexible. The park let us store our motor home there for a few days in the overflow area for a nominal fee so that we could take the ferry over to Victoria to spend a few days. The park is less than a 15 minute drive to the ferry.

As frequent travelers from Seattle area to Canada for our daughters hockey games, we look forward to staying at Cedars RV Resort and will continue the tradition we've started. Just an extremely well-run operation and we're so happy we discovered this place with such wonderful people. One time the door on our travel trailer somehow wasn't properly secured when we left it... so during a breezy rainstorm while we were not there, the door physically opened. Scott, Cedars maintenance manager, was first to notice the problem and shut the door, but it could not be locked without the key, so Yvette, operations manager, was so kind to call me to make me aware of the situation, out of concern that the door might open on its own again and our camper might be subjected to water damage. Yvette went out of her way to let me know what happened in case I wanted to lock the door, and I thought this really speaks to the high level of customer care at Cedars. With all of her other responsibilities as manager of operations at Cedars, this kind of concern by Yvette and her staff for those at the property was really wonderful, and points to why Cedars is such a beautiful, well-maintained and popular vacation spot.
