A work friend and I ventured to Spokane and we wanted to find something unique to occupy a few afternoon hours. I had searched the city's tourism site and found WS; decided to book a food tour (30 June 2023). Proprietor, Alana, was our guide and she offered us a wonderful downtown walking tour that included tasty bites from 5 establishments, interesting Spokane facts, and friendly conversation. Besides the two of us, the group consisted of three couples. We had a nice time together and being a small tour group made for easy transitions and a relaxed atmosphere. I read that if you are in a city you don't know and have a few hours to blow get a walking tour so that was my situation. I had an evening meeting so why not spend 2 hours in a city I knew nothing about. I did some research and connected with Wander Spokane. I wanted a one-on-one walking tour. From the connection all went smoothly. I started a few days prior, noted times and they got me a guide. I forget her name but she was awesome. We met a few minutes from my hotel. We walked the river and the city whilst she explained the history of Spokane. I'd recommend them to everyone and for the price conscious they are not expensive. The same tour in a big city would be 4x. I hope the next small city I go to has the same service! read more

It is hard for me to emphasize how much I enjoyed this food tour! I wanted to explore Spokane but wasn't sure where or how to start; I'm not a local and was only in the area for the summer. Alana, our guide, was so fun to talk to, as well as being incredibly knowledgable about the town's history and local art and took the group to amazing restaurants that showed off a real variety of food options in Spokane. All the meals were delicious, it never felt like a rush to get to the next spot, and I learned so much about the city in one afternoon. My only regret is that I didn't book a tour earlier in the summer with Wander Spokane, so I could've done Alana's beer and wine tours as well!
