tent interior

It's hard to say this was a "glam"ping experience; it's just tent camping with a nice bed. The website makes it look way nicer than it really is. I'm convinced the 4-5 star reviews are fake, as they offer you free stuff in exchange for a review. I have honestly had better experiences truly tent camping. The cons: - The food truck on site was not in operation. - The fire pits are communal, and there isn't a seating area outside of your own tent. They do give you chairs inside of the tent that you could drag outside, but they weren't the ones shown in the photos online. We were given a wooden folding chair and the other was the comfy leather sling chair. - THE BATHROOMS. They are in portables in the communal area and were absolutely not as advertised. The shower did not have ANY hot water :( It also requires pulling on a chain in order for the water to flow, so you are basically showering one-handed the entire time. If you're shorter than 5'3", this is tricky as the chain is pretty high up (I'm 5'1" and was standing on my tippy toes to reach it). Considering most tent camping sites operate with quarter showers that at least usually have warm water, this was extremely disappointing as this was supposed to be GLAMping. The mirror is also super high above the sink, so I again had to stand on my tippy toes and even then I could barely see to put my contacts in. The cherry on top was that they charge TEN DOLLARS for a towel. - It was very cold, but they charge $25 for a heater that lasts 4 hours. We were so cold in the morning that we ended up changing clothes and doing our hygiene at a nearby restaurant. - There wasn't anywhere to fill up waters (other than the bathroom interior, which wasn't super clean). - The photos online make it look like a super cute area, but it's really just a farm lot off the freeway. We could hear cars all night and didn't sleep well at all. - The price. They upcharge for everything extra, and it wasn't cheap to begin with. We stayed at many airbnbs/glamping sites on our cross country trip that were not only cheaper, but also a better experience that included all the amenities (water bottles, soap, towels, etc.) The pros: - The bed was clean and comfortable. - The tent has double zippers to prevent bugs coming in. Overall, we were so disappointed with this experience and woke up at 6am the next morning to leave as soon as possible. It definitely was an experience, but not "glam", just "camp". Read the low reviews, folks.

The night sky was well worth this camp site. The comfort of the bed was amazing, I am looking to get one for home. My daughter and I drove from Houston to Washington and this was by far my favorite place we stayed. The staff was good with communication, the bathrooms were clean, and the view was beautiful. Thanks for a great memory!!!

Nice people. But dirty. Bed is dirty. Tent is small. You need to bring everything yourself. EVERYTHING.

We stayed at Wander Camp Yellowstone last week and it was a fantastic experience. I had read a few bad reviews prior to our arrival so I got a little nervous but once we arrived I was confused by the negative reviews. Wander Camp is camping, rugged, in the outdoors, this is not a 5 star hotel, however, as far as camping goes it was super comfortable, we were warm and cozy and the bed mattress was amazing. The only thing I would suggest would be knowing more details about the extra optional amenities, like breakfast and dinner service at the outdoor stand and also the website was kinda difficult to navigate. I will say my husband tried calling and no one answered however within minutes we received a text message and had complete, quick communication with the representative. The fire pits are communal, the bathrooms are RV style but super clean. I did not shower but my daughter said the water temperature was not consistent but not bad. We will absolutely stay here again. Thanks, Wander Camp for making our trip a fun family memory.

We had originally planned two nights and I wish that we had been able to take the time. The bathrooms are large and clean, as are the showers. One of the staffers offered to take my picture with my bike. At the exit, I had to stop to do some typical adjustments and the booth ranger checked in with me and gave me some tips about the road. The only confusing part was the trash situation. We car/motorcycle camp and they only do trash pickup at a certain time of morning. There are no dumpsters.

You have found your site! The important. For RVs or tents. $29 for out of state tent campers. Not sure about other fees, such as RVs and the 3 cabins they have. Sites electric and a shared water spout near each grouping of spots. Awesome, no fee showers with hot water and a heater. Very clean bathrooms too. There is even a firewood dispensing cabin! Yup. A vending "machine" for firewood that takes credit cards if you don't got enough bills to make $10. The firewood kit is legit and worth 10 bucks! The spots are definitely very close to each other, but with these views, you be a good camping neighbor and enjoy the beauty quietly. The sunsets here are just majestic! Worth staying the night for one of those alone I'd say. There some pretty easy and scenic hiking trails that even have a few benches scattered throughout the trail for the weak and old or fatties like me that need a break. Or you can just sit down to write a Yelp review instead to cover up being tired! ;) If you are a fisherman with a boat. They have a boat ramp and a day use area. This lake apparently is on of the best for cutthroat trout. One of the best in the west a certain sign said!

The other nights were in E Loop, a group camp site. The campground is full of trees, which provided nice shade. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring with a grill surface. Sites with tent space have a raised tent pad that can accommodate a 60-foot tent. It was very peaceful here and didn't hear any road noise, since our sites were away from the highway. There were separate camp hosts for both of the sites we were at. The couples were very pleasant. The group site hosts let us leave our trailer there before check-in, so we didn't have to tow it with us to Yellowstone. As with all Forest Service campgrounds, the cost was inexpensive. We plan to come back and do some fishing on the nearby world-class streams.

When we checked in, there was supposedly a $20+ "welcome gift bag" placed in our room -- a small stuffed animal and some Snickers. We never saw it, never received it, and were never told it existed or that it cost money. We only found out when a charge appeared on my wife's card after we'd already driven miles away. When we called to dispute it, we got bounced between staff and a manager, and despite claiming they did an "investigation," they refused to issue a refund. Charging guests for something they never received and then stonewalling them is not hospitality -- it's deceptive. Tip for future guests: The moment you check in, take timestamped photos of the entire room before touching anything. Then go straight to the front desk and ask: "Are there any paid gift bags or welcome items included with our stay?" If they say yes, walk them back to your room and show them it's not there. That way it's documented -- either staff forgot to place it, or someone else took it. Either way, you have proof and they can't charge you for something that was never in your room. Don't make the mistake we did and find out on your credit card statement miles down the road.
