I was able to make two trips to the gallery and I made purchases both times. I really enjoyed looking at the variety of locally made art. In the end, I proudly purchased several pieces of pottery from different potters, two photographs from different photographers and a greeting card with a watercolor print on the front. I am most excited about a framed photograph of the iconic Sea Foam hotel from photographer Cyndi Goetcheus Sarfan. Aside from the aforementioned items, the store has various types of paintings, jewelry, sculptures, glass, candles and mixed media art. The employees, who I believe are local artists themselves, were very friendly.

They have everything... from art, to amazing jewelry, to adorable children's bags designed to hold a coloring book and markers. Pottery, beach decor for every taste, hand painted bags and clutches... This store takes up space in the Outlets of Nags Head. Which is good for the plaza. Think of this as a high end souvenir shop. A lot of beautiful things that you can take home to decorate your place. It almost feels like a library in here. It is quite, bright, and every shelf or table is full of items to browse. A lot of things that look desirable. So many things that you can take a lot of day looking through it all. I came in and looked all around, I went straight to the magnets to add to my collection. My nieces and nephew went straight for the shells. All nice and clean, ready to pick through. They also have this section where they have mini books, which they loved. Walked out of here with many little things, most of which are on the fridge at home. Great place to browse and grab.

Loved this little shop! I found so many cute items and the prices and quality were great!read more

Bottom Line: Small shop with seashells and Wanchese apparel…read more This shop looks so fun and beachy from the outside and I have been curious about it for years. I recently finally stepped in to do a little exploring this August. The retail store has shells, more shells, driftwood, nautical home decor, some jewelry, small gifts and Wanchese apparel. By Wanchese apparel I mean t-shirts and such paying homage to the charming fishing village. I was expecting local shells but it seems a lot of them were from overseas. Everything was so nicely labeled with the type of shell and the origin - I really appreciate those details. The retail store is just a small portion of their building as I believe the core of their business is being a wholesaler. The business participates in various trade shows throughout the year and retailers can sign up for wholesale accounts. Overall this was a neat stop in the quaint village of Wanchese.

The retail side had great stuff at very reasonable prices, ended up getting way more than just the door mat. Had a great time.

It's all in the Silver Lining. On this day of days, we stopped by to see what the store had to offer. I saw one dainty little necklace that could be for a young girl or baby, but did not by it. I have no kids or nieces worthy of such a gift. Besides, they have grown out of the cutesy fartsy faze already. Nevertheless, the work someone did on the peices of art did not pass my eyes without appreciation for the fine details. The staff were polite, but not overly enthusiastic about us being there. It seemed to me at least they enjoyed each other's company than the guests arriving in their store. Nevertheless, I will keep this place in mind for my next book, or find a better location.

There are some exceptions to both rules (double check if something is hanging on the wall already), but we still walked out of here with a sweet deal.

There is a ton of inventory and the ornaments are arranged by theme, as shown in some of my pictures. The ornaments are largely the mass produced type that are made in China but I did see a small selection of ornaments which I think are (somewhat) locally made. This store is a great place to shop for ornaments for my "fun" Christmas tree that I string colored lights on and display in my basement rec room. But as far as my "classy" tree with white lights and silver and gold ornaments, I didn't see anything that suited that tree. In addition to ornaments, they have Christmas cards, nutcrackers and other seasonal decor. I left with an avocado ornament that is a great homage to my time in SoCal and perfect for my "fun" tree. The Christmas Mouse is a fun place to browse and to stay cool on a hot summer day.
