Rather than contacting my former provider directly, the office required me to act as the middleman throughout the process. By the time everything was finally transferred, my PA-C, Katie, who has been excellent, was out of the office for a week. Most medical practices have coverage in place for situations like this, especially when multiple medical professionals are available, but Ashley told me I would have to wait until Katie returned before anyone could assist me. My insurance company requires a list of medications I have taken in the past before approving the prescription Katie wrote for me. At this point, I have been unable to get past the front desk to speak with a medical professional who can help resolve the issue. I've had to go without my prescription for about a week, and it is starting to negatively affect me. This is the first time I have ever left a practice because of the front desk.

Then summer 2017 (I think), we received a notice by mail that he was closing his practice and referring to a doctor way out in Madison. So sudden, no warning, no word about why. My 98-year-old mom became very ill and died the following January. We were finally able to find a new doctor just before her last illness, one she was able to trust. But she still missed Dr Jeremy. I still don't know what happened to Dr Jeremy, whether he is dead or alive or very ill. He was in his early 40s, with little kids. I hope he is OK. I don't believe he would have left us to fend for ourselves if he could help it. He was always a good man and a great doctor. I wonder if Ashlee was really Dr Jeremy P Russell's patient, since she apparently lives in Kentucky. Of course she may have moved after writing her review. I had a very different experience than she did.

    My husband and I have been "patients" of Dr. Russell's for over 3 years. And I say "patients"…read morebecause in that time we have called when sick once or twice per year and he has yet to have seen us beyond our initial new patient visits. When we call, we have continually been told that there is nothing available at any time, he is only working until noon, he's off and the office is closed for two weeks, etc. Once, in frustration, I asked the receptionist what it is she suggest we do since our doctor is never available to us. She rudely responded, "I don't know, go to a Doc-in-a-Box." Dr. Russell's office is by far the worst family practice I have ever dealt with and I would never recommend him to anyone.
