We struggled with the idea, first attempting to clear up our debt/IRS problems on our own. It was overwhelming, to say the least. When we exhausted ourselves with TV ads that looked like the answer, we decided it was time to sit face to face with a professional. If I remember correctly, I think I turned to the yellow pages. Shawn is located in Greentree, two minutes from our house, therefore, he got the call. I will not lie, being in financial straits is difficult enough, but having to sit across the desk and bare your soul to a stranger is no picnic. Our particular hardship was caused by taxes that were not paid during a three year period where my husband was paid as a contractor, our children were small, we needed every dollar.
